‘American Idol’ winner shoots his shot with Kelly Clarkson in flirty message

He’s waited a lifetime for a moment like this.

Taylor Hicks is shooting his shot with fellow “American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson, Page Six can exclusively reveal.

Hicks made his move after Clarkson revealed she never actually received the car she was promised for winning Season 1 of the singing competition show.

When asked for his reaction, Hicks gushed to Page Six in a statement Friday, “I am a big fan of Kelly Clarkson and consider her one of the most incredible voices to emerge from ‘American Idol.’”

He then added flirtatiously, “I would be more than happy to help her find a new Mustang.”

Clarkson’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Hicks — who won Season 5 of the Fox series in 2006 — has stayed in contact with Clarkson over the years.

The country music artist, 49, appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” in 2023 to perform his song, “Porch Swing.”

At the time, Clarkson, now 43, was fresh off her breakup from the late Brandon Blackstock.

She and the talent manager tied the knot in 2013 and welcomed two kids: River Rose, 11, and Remy, 9.

However, the “Breakaway” singer filed for divorce in June 2020 after seven years of marriage, and they were declared legally single in August 2021.

They settled their divorce in 2022.

Last year, the Grammy winner remained by Blackstock’s side during his private battle with melanoma, which is a serious form of skin cancer.

Blackstock passed away in August 2025. He was 48.

“Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family,” a family spokesperson told Page Six at the time.

“We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.”

Hicks, for his part, is single and ready to mingle.
