Angelina Jolie’s brother, James Haven, has come out as gay after splitting from his wife, “The Real L Word” star Romi Imbelli.

Haven, 53, shared the news of his sexuality during a live video stream with Imbelli on her Substack on Thursday.

Additionally, Page Six can exclusively announce Haven’s upcoming weekly podcast, “Save Haven with James Haven,” where he will “guide guests through the moments, choices, and turning points that shaped who they became.”

The podcast is produced by Wonder Peak Media and coming soon.

On the live stream, Haven confirmed he came out to Imbelli after they had their marriage annulled in March 2025. The exes separated in Aug. 2024, just 15 days after their wedding.

Haven, while opening up about his sexuality, explained that since he “was a little boy,” he “was absolutely obsessed with the Disney princesses.”

However, Haven said he “didn’t have the language back then to explain why, I just knew it made me feel more like me.”

“It was never about pretending to be someone else,” he continued. “It was about letting a part of myself shine that had always been there.”

Haven noted that coming out of the closet “isn’t about becoming someone new,” but rather “allowing everyone else to meet the person who has been here all along.”

The “Gia” star, whose father is actor Jon Voight, expressed hope that his “family and others can choose love over fear, understanding over judgment, and connection over the beliefs that may have kept us apart.”

Haven added, “I hope they can look beyond the labels and simply see me with the same heart, the same laugh, the same soul they’ve always known.”

Imbelli showed Haven support on the stream, admitting she had a hunch her ex-husband was gay.

“I didn’t want to see it. I didn’t want to believe,” she shared. “I knew it and I wanted to support you and love you, and then I didn’t want to believe it because then it would mean losing you in that capacity, which I couldn’t.”

Imbelli said she felt an internal “battle” over supporting and loving Haven while dealing with having to “break the lie that you know so badly.”

Still, Imbelli said her former spouse will remain “her life partner.”

“We will do life together,” she stated. “You are not my close friend. You are my love. And you happen to be gay.”

The pair also released a statement on Instagram about Haven coming out as gay.

“I wasn’t here to out someone I love. I was here to help set someone free,” Imbelli said. “There is a difference. In return he set me free.”

Imbelli insisted she’ll “always love” Haven, whom she called her “family,” “best friend” and “one of the greatest loves of my life.”

“Thank you for reading our story, holding space for our hearts, and reminding us that healing is always worth it,” the statement added.

Haven and Imbelli quietly tied the knot in Laguna Beach, California, in Aug. 2024, with several close family members — including Haven’s famous 87-year-old father — in attendance.

Jolie, 51, was reportedly absent from the nuptials.

Imbelli was previously married to musician Dusty Ray and chef Charles Imbelli, the latter of whom is the father of her daughter.
