‘Angry’ Jason Momoa accused of ‘yelling’ at crew members on ‘Minecraft’ set in ‘disappointing’ tirade

A cast member accused Jason Momoa of showing toxic behavior toward his crew on the set of his upcoming live-action film “A Minecraft Movie.”
YouTube star Valkyrae, 32, made the claims during her appearance on fellow streamer JasonTheWeen’s channel on Friday, Sept. 13, during which they answered questions while eating spicy wings a la “Hot Ones.”
JasonTheWeen asked about her “worst celebrity or streamer experience,” asking “Who’s a f–king a–hole?”
Valkyrae, while hesitant at first, recalled having a cameo in the movie, which comes out in 2025, and replied, “I would have to say Jason Momoa.”
The social media personality claimed that she saw the “Aquaman” star, 45, “mistreat some of the crew.”
“It was pretty disappointing,” she said, admitting that the incident unfolded “after a very intense scene.”
“It was a very emotional scene so maybe he was still in character,” she suggested.
The 100 Thieves co-owner said she was “surprised” by how he treated some of the crew members.
“He was just really mad at them that they weren’t doing something right, like setting up the shot and stuff, and he was just angry,” she continued, adding that he was “yelling.”
“And so I was like, man, this is like, not a good work environment and like I would not be happy working under these conditions.”
Momoa’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Several fans of the “Game of Thrones” alum jumped to his defense on X.
“I’m not taking a word she says serious. talk about an uncreditable source😂😂,” one netizen wrote on social media.
“All I know is, if she’s not being truthful, it will be discovered quickly,” a second person said, with a third chiming in, “Shawty said he yelled at people for not doing their job right…Not taking another word she says seriously😂.”
Valkyrae, born Rachell Marie Hofstetter, made it big on Twitch by streaming her Fortnight gaming in 2018.
Two years later, she signed an exclusive contract with YouTube and has since continued her streaming career on the platform, where her channel boasts more than 4 million subscribers.
Since 2020, she has remained YouTube’s most-watched female streamer and has been named AdWeek’s 2021 “Gaming Creator of the Year” and was listed on Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list in 2022.
