Ariana Biermann Celebrates 24th Birthday Days After Hudson McLeroy Breakup: ‘So Blessed’
Next Gen NYC’s Ariana Biermann is celebrating another trip around the sun days after splitting from Hudson McLeroy.
“Thank you for all the birthday wishes,” Biermann, 24, wrote via her Instagram Story on Sunday, October 19, alongside a photo of her blowing out her birthday candles. “And to all the amazing people who celebrated with me I love yall!!! So blessed to see another year, here’s to 24!!!”
Biermann confirmed her split from McLeroy in an Instagram Story on Tuesday, October 14.
“Hudson and I have decided to go our separate ways,” she wrote at the time. “While these things are never easy, we both know it’s what’s best for us right now. We are so grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown us over the years.”
She concluded, “Sometimes, life takes you in different directions and that’s OK.”
The next day, McLeroy addressed their breakup in his own Instagram Story statement.
“I feel like everyone deserves to hear both sides of our story,” he wrote on Wednesday, October 15. “I still and always will love Ariana.”
“She’s been there for me at times when I couldn’t be there for myself,” McLeroy continued. “I still have a lot of things I need to heal from and deal with on my own to become the person I truly want to be. I appreciate all of the love and support everyone is showing us during this difficult time.”
On Thursday, October 16, Biermann revealed that she would be moving into her own place after sharing a living space with McLeroy. (The twosome moved to New York City together in July 2024.)
“Today is moving day, again,” Biermann said in the video. “I’m moving into my own apartment. … First ever apartment in New York City. I’m the sole person on the lease. I’m excited, but also a very bittersweet thing.”
McLeroy, for his part, shared in a Saturday, October 18, Instagram Story photo that he was in Atlanta, Georgia.
Biermann and McLeroy, who were high school sweethearts, chronicled their first year in Manhattan during the inaugural season of Next Gen NYC. Ahead of the split, Biermann exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month that she had “hesitation” about documenting her relationship on reality TV.
“It’s a little nerve-wracking bringing somebody onto a TV show with you and putting your whole relationship out for the world to see,” Biermann shared. “We’re very young, you never know. I feel like it would suck to have to watch that back if we weren’t together or things like that, but it is my life.”
Biermann, daughter of The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak, also reconnected with childhood friend Riley Burruss, daughter of Zolciak’s costar Kandi Burruss. (Zolciak and Kandi had a falling out on the reality show.)
“I’m so happy we can show the world that it doesn’t matter when you stop being somebody’s friend or what happens between your families — you can still pick up and have a friendship outside of all the bulls***,” Biermann exclusively told Us as part of her Reality Stars of the Year interview with Riley.
“I was nervous, but we spent the day together, even outside of the cameras,” Riley added. “We became best friends in two hours.”
