Ariana Grande hints at marriage to boyfriend Ricky Álvarez in latest ‘thank u, next’ lyric change

The boy is hers.

Ariana Grande seemingly hinted at a future with boyfriend Ricky Álvarez during the final stop of her “Eternal Sunshine” tour in London, England, on Tuesday.

Grande made yet another cheeky change to her “thank u, next” lyrics, this time singing, “Wrote some songs about Ricky / I’m tryna make him my last,” instead of the original, “Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh.”

The crowd immediately caught onto the change, cheering as the “7 rings” singer, 33, laughed after singing the updated lyric, according to a video shared by Entertainment Tonight on X.

Grande previously raised eyebrows with another lyric tweak during her July 13 concert at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

She sang, “Wrote some songs about Ricky / We always find our way back.”

The duo first dated for two months more than a decade ago before remaining friends over the years. They got back together in July following Grande’s split from her “Wicked” co-star Ethan Slater.

“Ariana has rekindled things with Ricky, but she isn’t rushing back into the relationship,” a source told Page Six at the time. “She has a lot on her plate at the moment and is still incredibly busy with her tour schedule, so they’re taking things one step at a time.”

Confirmation of their romance came after the “God is a Woman” vocalist and Álvarez were spotted together on multiple occasions, first sparking dating rumors when they were seen hanging out with friends at an Austin, Texas, restaurant for Grande’s 33rd birthday.

Grande hard-launched her relationship with Álvarez on Instagram last month, sharing a series of photos of the pair.

While they were only shown from the neck down, Grande made sure to tag her on-again boyfriend in the posts.

Fans were quick to notice another apparent nod to Álvarez during one of the “Into You” hitmaker’s London concerts, where she debuted a new tattoo reading “I do love you” on her clavicle.

The same words are inked on Álvarez in the same spot on his left collarbone, though the tattoos appear in different fonts.

Grande’s latest romance development comes as the pop star prepares to step away from the spotlight.

The Grammy winner announced early last month that she would be taking a break from “public-facing work” after completing her “Eternal Sunshine” tour, following “endless ongoing public scrutiny,” including concerns over her weight.

“Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the ‘Eternal Sunshine’ tour,” her rep said at the time. “She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances which has led to endless ongoing public scrutiny.”

It was also announced that Grande would be pulling out of the West End revival of Stephen Sondheim’s “Sunday in the Park With George,” in which she was set to star opposite her “Wicked” co-star Jonathan Bailey.

Bailey has since exited the production as well.
