Austin Butler rescues Zoë Kravitz from bee at ‘Caught Stealing’ premiere

Austin Butler didn’t let a potential bee sting deter him from protecting his “Caught Stealing” co-star Zoë Kravitz.

The actor, 34, intervened when a rogue bee startled Kravitz as they posed for photos at their film’s UK premiere Tuesday.

Kravitz and Butler both attempted to wave the bee away from her face before the critter focused its attention on the “Elvis” star. Butler then gazed at the bee flying around him before it buzzed off without stinging anyone.

This is the second time the “Carrie Diaries” alum has had a dramatic interaction with a bee on a red carpet.

Butler also attempted to save a terrified Emma Stone from a buzzing bee as they posed for pictures during the Cannes Film Festival premiere of “Eddington” in May.

Stone was visibly nervous as she tried to avoid the bee buzzing around them, while Butler blew on it to try to shoo it away. But the bee only came closer to Stone and their fellow co-star Pedro Pascal, prompting Stone to dramatically duck down on the red carpet.

Butler has been busy doing press for his latest film — Darren Aronofsky’s “Caught Stealing” — in which he plays Hank, a baseball star turned bartender who finds himself immersed in the criminal world of 1990s New York City. Kravitz, 36, plays Yvonne, his love interest in the film.

Butler told “Men’s Health” that he gained 35 pounds to look like a he had a drinking problem in the film.

“I actually have a whole section of just baseball players’ asses that [Aronofsky] would send me,” the Oscar-nominated actor said of the look he was trying to achieve. “He was like, ‘Look how thick they are!”

Butler and Kravitz’s chemistry also sparked romance rumors off-screen.

Last month, Page Six exclusively reported that the two attended an immersive theater show in NYC together, further fueling speculation.

But a source told Page Six in April that Kravitz and Butler ‘s flirtation was “nothing serious” after she ended her engagement to Channing Tatum in October 2024.

“With Austin, it’s an opportunity to have fun, keep her mind off things right now,” the source said. “I’m sure she’s not the happiest with what happened [with Tatum]; it’s a good way for her to have fun and hang out. Who wouldn’t be interested in Zoe?”

“She is gaining the clout that can definitely help someone’s career. He’s [Butler] the ‘it’ guy in Hollywood, she’s the ‘it’ girl. I’m sure he’s not opposed to the attention,” the source continued.
