Australian Influencer Georgie Elgey Reveals Stillborn Loss at 20 Weeks: ‘Forever Our Baby Boy’

Australian influencer Georgie Elgey is mourning the loss of her baby boy.

“Our sweet angel boy was born sleeping at 20 weeks and more perfect than we could have ever imagined,” Elgey wrote via Instagram on Friday, October 17, announcing that her son, Ziggy Blu Elgey, was born stillborn on Thursday, October 16.

“He shares his middle name with his big brother Tally,” she continued in the caption, which was accompanied by two black and white photos — one showing Elgey’s pregnant belly, and another showing two tiny, infant footprints on a piece of paper.

“Our boys were so connected from the beginning,” she wrote. “Tally was the one who told us there was a baby in my belly before we even knew, and that he was a boy. Our hearts are completely broken that he is not here with our family but we hope he knew how loved he was. Forever our baby boy.”

Fans were quick to share their condolences with the influencer in the comments section.

“Sending you so much love. Devastating,” one follower wrote. “A little boy flying high and will always be remembered.”

Awe darling, I’m so sorry to hear,” another wrote, along with a broken heart emoji. “Sending you all my love and the biggest cuddle.”

The pilates instructor and health and wellness influencer has amassed more than 4,000 Instagram followers by also sharing parenting content. She shares two additional children, “Tally” and “Pipi,” with her husband Kane Elgey.

The influencer announced she was expecting her third child on August 25.

“Another little bestie joining us next year,” she wrote via Instagram, along with a photo of the proud mom sitting on the beach with her two children in her arms, holding her pregnant belly.

The fitness influencer welcomed her first child, Tally Blu Elgey, on November 2, 2021, announcing his birth two days later via Instagram.

“Taly Blu Elgey,” she wrote, along with two photos of the newborn swaddled in a blanket. “2.85kg of perfection joined us on 2.11.21 a couple of days early and we are so in loved with you little man!”

A little more than a week later, the mom opened up about the first 10 days postpartum with her newborn.

“I have absolutely no idea where the last 10 days have gone, but my god they have been the best days yet,” she wrote, sharing photos of her newborn and her husband. “Tally you are a dream come true and we love you beyond words.”

Years later, she announced she was expecting her second child.

“And then there were 4,” she wrote via Instagram, along with photos showing off her pregnant belly.

Months later, the influencer announced the birth of the couple’s second child, Pipi Rose Elgey.

“Our beautiful little girl arrived at 3:30am Wednesday morning, sharing an extra special birthday with her angel Ronny looking over her 4/9/24 and weighing 3.08kg,” Elgey wrote on September 6, 2024. “We are all completely obsessed and still in shock we have a little girl, our dream come true.”
