Season 4 of Below Deck Down Under is only halfway done and there’s more love triangles, cast exits and feuds coming our way.

In Us Weekly‘s exclusive look at the midseason trailer, Captain Jason Chambers sits down with someone — presumably from the interior team — to talk about their future after Daisy Kelliher noticed more feuds within the department.

“I don’t take making changes lightly,” he tells someone from the team. “Your behavior has forced my hand. I need you to leave the boat today.”

Luckily, Ben Robinson is seen inviting an island dog to join them on the ship, so the Katina could find a replacement sooner rather than later. Ben is also seen struggling with a group of guests criticizing the taste of his eggs.

Not always the perfect fit. Over the years, the Below Deck franchise has shocked viewers with dramatic exits, including firings and resignations. Mathew Shea set a record for Below Deck Mediterranean when he made several departures during season 6. The chef initially left the boat when he suffered a knee injury that required medical attention. In his personal life, Ben’s connection with Jenna Woudberg leads to tension between him and Eddy Hounsell. Another love triangle appears to play out between Daisy, João Franco and Ellie Dubaich.

Ellie previously spoke to Us Weekly about her time on Below Deck Down Under.

“The main opinion [people have of me] is obviously the opinion of me being a bully. I’m not a bully,” she said in March. “I understand how it came across that way, but a lot of those situations were taken out of context and that’s why it seemed that way.”

She continued: “I am responsible for how I behave regardless. But I’m not a bully. I was responding to certain situations which — sadly — were not shown.”

Ellie originally appeared on season 9 of Below Deck Med where she formed a connection with Joe Bradley, which led to a love triangle with Bri Muller. Ellie addressed the backlash against her by issuing a public apology to Bri at the time.

“The main thing I learned is that I used to get really triggered by people’s opinions of me and then I would react if they saw me differently to how I thought they should be perceived,” she explained to Us. “Then I would become this person that I didn’t like being just because I was triggered and just reacting.”

Below Deck and its spinoff series may be reality TV shows, but there can be real-life consequences for the crew’s actions both on and off the ship. Over the years, stars including Hannah Ferrier, Peter Hunziker and Shane Coopersmith have been fired from their respective charters for a variety of reasons. Below Deck Mediterranean’s Hannah […]

Ellie was grateful for the chance to show the real her.

“I really took some time to reflect about that and really realize that I’m responsible for how I behave,” she continued. “Some people might trigger me sometimes and it’s OK to experience those emotions. But I need to dial myself back in and really focus on just how I’m behaving rather than responding.”

While reflecting on her personal growth, Ellie opened up about what she hoped viewers took away from her return, saying, “I just wanted to be true to myself and just show who I have become — because it did evolve genuinely. It’s not like I was putting on an act to try and be a different person to please people. No, I just genuinely did learn some lessons and this is the person I’ve become.”

Below Deck Down Under airs on Bravo Mondays at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
