Billionaire chewing gum heir Beau Wrigley and Sue Hostetler headed for divorce

This bubble has burst.
Billionaire chewing gum heir Beau Wrigley and author Sue Hostetler are getting a divorce, several sources tell Page Six.
We hear the high-profile split is the talk of Palm Beach social circles.
It appears to be a sticky situation. According to a source, Hostetler has moved out of their manse and is staying in a friend’s guest house.
“People are shocked,” says one source. “They were a great couple.”
The pair tied the knot almost four years ago, and had dated for several years prior.
It is unclear if there is a prenup.
He was previously engaged, but never married, to Donald Trump Jr.’s current girlfriend, Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson.
Wrigley’s net worth is estimated at $3.4 billion.
He has been embroiled in lawsuits over the past few years over a start-up cannabis company, called Parallel. Wirgley stepped away from the pot company in 2021 after a reported failed SPAC deal.
Since then he has reportedly been hit with suits from investors claiming company “officials concealed massive debts, issued fanciful financial projections, engaged in self-dealing and committed various other misdeeds to defraud them,” according to a report.
At the time, a spokesperson for Wrigley told Politico: “Mr. Wrigley is confident the facts will demonstrate the allegations in the complaints have no merit. He will defend against these false claims in court.”
In May 2024, one $7.4 million suit was settled through mediation. In November 2024, he was sued by former employees.
The scion previously helmed his family’s company starting in 1999. In 2008 he sold the gum and candy giant to Mars Inc. for $23 billion.
Prior to their split, Wrigley and Hostetler were active on gala circuit and philanthropic scene. They have the Hostetler Wrigley Foundation which supports parity in the arts, reproductive health, and mental health, among other things.
Hostetler is a bold-faced name in the art community, and is on the board of NYC’s New Museum, Palm Beach’s Norton Museum and formerly chaired the Anderson Ranch Art Center in Aspen.
She is the former editor in chief of Art Basel Magazine, and has written a number of books, including, “Majestic Metropolitan Living.”
Page Six reported on the couple’s yacht party in Miami, Fla., during Art Basel in 2018 which drew gallerists including Marianne Boesky, Angela Westwater, Monika Sprüth and Marian Goodman, plus mega-collectors Don and Mera Rubell.
The couple do not have children, but had a blended family with kids from other marriages.
Both parties did not return request for comment.
