Blake Lively’s ‘It Ends With Us’ co-star Brandon Sklenar distances himself from Justin Baldoni drama after previously backing her

“It Ends With Us” star Brandon Sklenar has distanced himself from Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal drama after previously supporting the actress.

When asked at an airport recently whether he had “any words of encouragement” for his castmates, Sklenar, 34, told the inquiring paparazzo, “Lead with love and compassion.”

In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against co-star and director Baldoni, alleging that he sexually harassed her on the set of the movie and then orchestrated a smear campaign against her, all of which he denied.

Sklenar initially appeared to back Lively, sharing the New York Times’ article about her lawsuit via his Instagram Story and writing alongside it, “For the love of God read this.”

However, in January, Baldoni filed a $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist, Leslie Sloane.

The “Jane the Virgin” alum also sued the New York Times, which vowed to “vigorously defend” itself.

Sklenar seemingly changed his tune when he was asked by “CBS Mornings” co-host Gayle King in February whether he was “Team Justin or Team Blake.”

Laughing, perhaps nervously, the actor replied, “I’m Team ‘It Ends With Us.’”

Then at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars Party in March, when he was asked how he was “hoping to support” Lively, 37, amid her legal issues with Baldoni, 41, he vaguely called the situation “tough.”

“I just hope everyone remembers what the movie is about and why we made it in the first place,” the “1923” star told the Hollywood Reporter at the time.

“It’s about love, and it’s about supporting women in general and helping people through tough times.”

Sklenar made sure to note that the film, which centers on domestic violence, has “helped so many people.”

Lively and Baldoni’s trial is set to begin in March 2026.
