Bobby Flay Reveals When Fans Can Expect Daughter Sophie to Compete on Beat Bobby Flay

Will fans see a father-daughter face-off soon?

Bobby Flay answered fans’ questions about Beat Bobby Flay on his Instagram Stories on Thursday, Oct. 9. Between telling followers that sushi was his “worst nightmare” dish on Beat Bobby Flay, the Food Network star revealed when viewers might see 29-year-old daughter Sophie competing on the show.

When asked “When are we going to see Sophie cook something???” the Bobby’s Triple Threat star, who shares Sophie with his ex-wife Kate Connelly, responded, “Ha. Don’t think she’s ready to compete yet..”

But the ABC7 Los Angeles reporter competed on the show back in 2021. On season 28, Sophie joined Alex Guarnaschelli in facing off against her father and actually beat him.

Most recently, the pair were on the same team in an episode of Celebrity Family Feud. 

Bobby, Sophie and Bobby’s Triple Threat titans—  Brooke Williamson,  Michael Voltaggio and Ayesha Nurdjaja, competed against Fellow Food Network star Carla Hall during the Sept. 18 episode.

The foodies’ episode gave viewers some giggly insight to Bobby and Williamson’s relationship, which was publicly revealed in March.

Host Steve Harvey asked the teams to “name something ugly you put on at night so you look beautiful in the morning.” While teammates Williamson and Nurdjaja answered correctly with face masks and hair curlers, when it was Bobby’s turn, he responded confidently, “Pajamas.”

Out of frame, Williamson said, “What?!” before the camera panned to show her laughing with her face in her hands. Between giggles, she asked, “Why would pajamas make you look beautiful in the morning? I mean I’m behind him 100%.”

“No you’re not,” Harvey said, comically deadpan. “That was not supportive at all.”

Their team came out on top in the end, winning $25,000 for the charity of their choice, Paws Crossed Animal Rescue.
