Brandi Cyrus gushes over ‘unapologetic’ mom Tish Cyrus amid Dominic Purcell marriage, family drama

Brandi Cyrus has her mom’s back.

The DJ praised Tish Cyrus amid family drama, telling E! News on Sunday that the 56-year-old “is in this era of really being unapologetic about who she is and what she’s about.”

Brandi, 36, gushed, “I love that for her. She has been so supportive of all of us. She’s really the backbone of the family.”

She went on to celebrate Tish being “in the limelight for a little bit” after years spent co-managing daughters Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus.

“At the end of the day, your family’s what you have and your family is what matters,” Brandi concluded. “And those relationships are more important than anything to us.”

However, she did not speak directly to headlines concerning her mom’s August 2023 wedding to Dominic Purcell — and the “Prison Break” star’s alleged romance with Noah prior to their nuptials.

Seven months after the duo walked down the aisle, People reported that the “July” singer, 24, dated Purcell, 54, “in a friends with benefits way, off and on.”

Us Weekly claimed last week that Tish and the actor “sought therapy” as the drama played out publicly.

Although the trio have yet to speak out on the controversy, Tish hinted at “definite issues” in her relationship during a “Sorry We’re Stoned” podcast episode in March, while Purcell recently posted about dealing with “nonsense.”

Noah, for her part, has appeared unfazed since news broke, making multiple Paris Fashion Week appearances.

The songwriter did, notably, clap back when she was slammed for “liking” Miley’s ex-husband Liam Hemsworth’s thirst trap via Instagram on Saturday.

“There’s no greater joy than seeing y’all get s0000000 angry over the dumbest s–t it’s so entertaining and funny,” she subsequently wrote on her Story over the weekend. “Who gives a f–k.”

Miley, who was married to her “Last Song” co-star from 2018 to 2020, “had no idea about the drama with Dominic … at all,” a source told Page Six in March.

The “Hannah Montana” alum was the maid of honor in her mom’s Malibu wedding, while Noah and brother Braison Cyrus skipped the ceremony and documented a Walmart trip on social media.

Miley, instead, is reported to be feuding with dad Billy Ray Cyrus — and fueled those rumors when she excluded him from her Grammys acceptance speech in February.
