The grand finale of Love Island USA’s sixth series saw four couples battling things out to the end; Nicole and Kendall, Serena and Kordell, Leah and Miguel, and lastly, JaNa and Kenny on Sunday. The shows host, Ariana Madix, sashayed into the villa to announce the season’s winners, as each couple anxiously hoped to win the public vote.

Nicole and Kendall bagged the fourth position as JaNa and Kenny secured the third, leaving only two pairs, Serena and Kordell and Miguel and Leah in the running for the ultimate prize. Yet after a nail biting episode that left fans guessing until the very last second, Ariana finally declared Serena and Kordell as the winning couple of Love Island USA 2024.

The winning duo appeared awe-struck by their achievement, as a jubilant Kordell described his emotions as “Electric! ” when asked by Ariana how he was feeling.

Serena and Kordell, who hooked up on day one, had seen their share of ups and downs in the villa, particularly when Kordell returned with Daia from Casa Amor, leading to a showdown with Serena. However, these trials did nothing more than strengthen their bond, making them Americas favourite pair and ultimately leading them to victory on Love Island, reports the Mirror US.

Following their win, the next milestone moment for the couple was the distribution of the winnings. As is Love Island tradition, Serena and Kordell were each given an envelope, one stuffed with the tremendous $100,000 prize money and the other blank – before being asked whether they wanted to share their winnings or take the money and run.

Ever the gentleman, Kordell, who was holding the winning envelope, chose to share it with his new love.

In the latest episode, all the couples embarked on their final date night. Nicole and Kendall headed out for a thrilling parasailing experience followed by an emotional beach picnic where Kendall expressed his love for her with heartfelt tears.

The next couple to take centre stage were Miguel and Leah who enjoyed an ATV ride leading to a scenic mountain-side table complete with champagne and an assortment of cheeses. Serena and Kordell then went cruising in a classic blue car before settling down for a nostalgic drive-thru movie featuring highlights from their villa journey.

JaNa and Kenny’s romantic soiree involved personal notes from their family members closely following the show. Additionally, the ladies had the chance to unwind during an exclusive spa day.

Love Island USA fans were swift to share their reactions on the season winners, now popularly known as X. One thrilled viewer took to Twitter stating: “IM SO PROUD OF AMERICA RN I LOVE YOU ALL FOR PICKING THE RIGHT WINNERS LETS GO BABY,”.

Others echoed this sentiment. “Kordell and Serena winning made this season the best in love island usa history,” one user stated.

Another chimed in saying: “The only thing America has done right this week was picking the right winners for Love Island USA.”

However, some fans already started missing the show. “I don’t want this show to end genuinely wtf do I do without it,” an apparent die-hard fan commented.
