Brianna Chickenfry’s surprising reaction to ‘stupid’ Zach Bryan revealing her texts
Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia is unfazed by Zach Bryan “antagonizing” her.
The “BFFs” co-host laughed and called her ex-boyfriend “f–king stupid” on the latest podcast episode for sharing screenshots of her past texts earlier this week.
“He … honestly, verified everything that I’ve said,” the Barstool Sports personality, who initially worried Bryan had posted her nude photos, said on Wednesday. “I don’t know what he was trying to do by that.”
The messages Bryan uploaded — and deleted — via Instagram Stories on Monday, notably included a post-breakup text from LaPaglia after he allegedly “fled the state” instead of going to rehab.
The 26-year-old claimed that the country singer “berated” her and sent “awful s–t” ahead of her lengthy response.
“[My reply] is really sweet and shows how much I loved him and how much I was, like, under his control,” she said. “That’s really all it proves. … It’s really sad.”
LaPaglia also opened up about the other text he posted where she “weigh[ed] out” NDA options presented by Bryan’s team, which she ultimately refused.
She denied attempting to extort her ex, pointing out, “It doesn’t make any sense. If I was extorting you, I would have taken the money I was extorting you for.”
LaPaglia made headlines on Monday for sharing receipts of her own — which she regrets and called a “stupid” move on Wednesday.
“I don’t want to feed into it anymore,” she explained of falling “into the trap.”
Additionally, LaPaglia told listeners she should not have threatened to release footage of Bryan’s alleged emotional abuse when he blasted her as not “sweet” in a recent TikTok comment.
She claimed that the dig was meant to “antagonize” her as Bryan, 29, allegedly used to tell her she “wasn’t sweet when [she] stood up for” herself.
While LaPaglia does not know why the songwriter was “crashing out” on social media, she guessed it’s a “tactic to try and bring [her] back down” while she’s “finally happy and doing well.”
She noted that Bryan allegedly re-followed her aunt on Instagram while her family was on vacation earlier this month.
“I’m kind of just laughing at it right now because, holy s–t, I would have still been dealing with that,” LaPaglia said. “Nothing has changed. Like, nothing f–king changed. Honestly, it makes me giggle. I’m so over it.”
Bryan’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The “Something in the Orange” crooner broke up with LaPaglia in 2024 after one year together.
The Grammy winner, who has since moved on with Hannah Duncan, previously dated Deb Peifer and was married to Rose Madden from 2020 to 2021.
As LaPaglia and co-host Josh Richards discussed the drama on Wednesday, a FaceTime call came through from Bryan’s ex-wife.
“Through all of it, if I didn’t get to talk to Rose or have Rose for this, I think I would go f–king crazy,” LaPaglia gushed. “She helped me so much in the beginning and even right now. She rocks.”
