Brianna LaPaglia is clearing the air about one of her old tattoos.

The internet has been abuzz lately with talk of country music singer Zach Bryan’s latest album, With Heaven on Top – especially the song “Skin,” which many have theorized is a diss track about LaPaglia.

Fans were quick to speculate that the song was pointed at LaPaglia, from whom Bryan announced his split in October of 2024, citing one of the Barstool Media personality’s tattoos — which features a line that is the same as one from Bryan’s song “28” — as evidence.

However, LaPaglia is clearing the air about her tattoo, responding to a comment from a fan left on one of her recent TikTok posts.

“Okay, this is gonna be for OG Plan Bri listeners, OG just Brianna Chickenfry followers, okay?” LaPaglia began a Jan. 10 video.

In her video, LaPaglia tells an unrelated story about running into an old flame while out and about in New York City, recounting the details of how she and this former love interest had first gotten together.

In the comments, one follower was quick to point out that the time period of when LaPaglia and this other man had first gotten together felt familiar.

“Am I crazy or is the ‘how lucky are we’ tattoo that everyone talks about with you know who actually the tattoo you got with your friends during this era too??” the follower wrote.

“Hahah yes we all got in Vegas 4 years ago!” LaPaglia replied to the commenter.

LaPaglia first talked about the tattoo in a TikTok from August 2023 — just about a month after she first made her relationship with Bryan public — when she did a tattoo tour of her ink.

She talked through the stories behind each one before showing off a tattoo that read, “How lucky are we,” on the back of her arm, seemingly confirming that she had had the tattoo done before she and Bryan even knew each other.

“I got this matching with a bunch of friends in Vegas, and we were very drunk,” she explained, adding that she loved the placement even though the lyrics looked “morphed together.”

In October 2024, the “Oklahoma Smokeshow” singer took to his social media to share that he and LaPaglia had officially broken up. The two split under acrimonious circumstances, as she later accused the musician of emotional abuse, and claimed that he offered her $12 million and a house to not speak publicly about their relationship.

Despite the breakup, LaPaglia later made it clear that she would not be removing the tattoo. On Nov. 9, 2024, LaPaglia posted a TikTok, explaining why she wouldn’t be removing her “How lucky are we?” tattoo.

“One last thing,” she said while sitting in her car. “I see a lot of people being like, ‘Well, now I have to get my how lucky are we tattoo removed.’”

“That was my thing. That is my tattoo. Now we’re matching, okay? Don’t get it removed. It’s okay. This is mine. How lucky are we? That was me.”

On his new album, Bryan seemingly takes aim at the podcaster in his song, “Skin,” promising to take “a blade to my old tattoos” in order to drain “the blood between me and you.”

“I’m taking a blade to my own skin / And I ain’t ever touching yours again,” he sings on the track. “How do tattoos take to your skin? Does your higher ground ever sink in? Do you love people just to win when it’s over?”

Bryan also slams his ex for talking poorly about her friends with the lyrics, “Do you still talk s— on all of your friends? / Need to take it all to the chin this time, stone-cold sober.”

Days prior to the release of his new album, LaPaglia appeared to mock her ex after he confirmed his recent marriage to Samantha Leonard. In a subtle TikTok video shared on Friday, Jan. 2, she could be seen singing along to pointed lyrics from Swift’s “Mastermind.”

“Checkmate, I couldn’t lose,” she lip-syncs in the clip, as she sports a white top and a tan New York Yankees cap.

In an Instagram Stories post shared on Friday, Jan. 9, the same day Bryan released his album, LaPaglia also reposted Taylor Swift’s song “Actually Romantic” from Spotify, including the lyrics: “It’s actually sweet all the time you’ve spent on me. It’s honestly wild.”
