Britani Bateman has an announcement: She absolutely loves Us Weekly’s cover shoot with The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast.

“It was beautiful. What a great spread. What a great tribute,” Bateman, 54, exclusively shared with Us on Thursday, October 16, when celebrating the Bravo reality show. “They were on fire.”

As the official cover stars for Us’ annual Reality Stars of the Year issue, all seven current full-time stars — OGs Lisa Barlow, Mary Cosby, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks and Whitney Rose, plus newer additions Angie Katsanevas and Bronwyn Newport — participated in a parody of Vanity Fair’s iconic 2005 Desperate Housewives cover.

While Cosby, 52, opted to wear a dress, explaining she has a “moral compass” that leads her, the other stars agreed to participate.

Lisa Barlow is shaking — she’s physically shaking — over the untruths shared in season 6 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. “There’s lies and a lot of turning nothings into somethings to create problems,” Lisa, 50, exclusively told Us Weekly at DIRECTV’s Plot Twist featuring Bravo party on Tuesday, August 12. “Attention […]

As a friend of the cast, Bateman decided to show her support for the cover by arriving at Us’ New York City studios in her own swimsuit.

“I could not resist. You want to hear something so crazy? I did not know what the cover was going to look like, and I brought this suit to New York with me,” she said. “Don’t you think this fits right in?”

While Bateman said Newport, 40, reached out to give a heads up about the shoot, the finished product was better than she could have ever imagined.

“It’s mind-blowing. I mean, seriously,” Bateman shared. “I just feel so privileged and very fortunate to be a part of it in any capacity, even as a friend of.”

Although Bateman joined as a friend of the cast for season 5 in 2024, she has had the opportunity to catch up on past seasons.

When fans ask why the cast is so magical, Bateman believes it’s because they have so much history.

“That’s why I felt like such an outsider, because they have all this history,” she explained. “It felt like I was pledging a sorority.”

As Bateman continues to make a splash in season 6, airing Tuesdays on Bravo, she can’t believe how many strangers come up to her to quote some of the show’s most iconic moments like “high body count hair” and “I have an announcement.”

“There are several moments that have followed me around that I would never guess,” she said. “For the most part, I think people can see that I really am who I am.  I’m not hiding anything — for better or worse.”

She’s also never afraid to try new things. This December, Bateman will make her cabaret debut at New York City’s iconic 54 Below in a show called What About Me: An Evening with Britani Bateman.

“This has been in the works for a year,” Bateman shared. “I’m excited to see Luann [de Lesseps] at BravoCon and just maybe convince her to come do a number with me.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET. Stream old episodes anytime on Peacock.
