Season 2 of The Hunting Wives is going to be even “more steamy” — so why does Brittany Snow think people will be “very angry”?

Snow, 39, was asked about the show at the 2026 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 11, telling E! News, “Oh, it’s just as steamy. It’s more steamy, actually. We’ve filmed some scenes, we’ve played some Reneé Rapp. We got into a groove. We’re doing it.”

The actress, who plays Sophie, admitted she’s curious to see how viewers will react.

“A lot of things happen this season that are very shocking, I will say,” she continued. “It’s going to leave people very angry, but in a sexy way.”

Based on May Cobb’s book of the same name, The Hunting Wives introduced Sophie, who moved from Boston to an East Texas town where she found herself drawn to prominent socialite Margo (Malin Åkerman). While some became invested in the murder at the center of the series, The Hunting Wives also provided plenty of entertainment with guns, drinking and steamy onscreen hookups.

The eight-part series, which premiered in July 2025, was originally filmed for Starz before Lionsgate Television acquired the rights (and Netflix licensed U.S. rights to the series for a year). As a result, viewers got more NSFW sex scenes than they expected.

“[My character] gains power through many different ways. Part of her manipulation is sex, it is sexual and it’s how a lot of people operate in this world and in order to gain control. So when you have that power — and she’s very aware of it — she knows how to use it and she does,” Åkerman, 47, exclusively told Us Weekly when the show debuted. “So I like that about her. That’s what becomes controversial and fun and salacious and saucy, and that’s why we want to watch her.”

Snow, meanwhile, expressed gratitude for Åkerman as a scene partner.

“Something really great about Malin too is she’s really, really attuned to what I was thinking or what others were thinking in terms of comfortability,” she shared on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast in October 2025. “So she was always very aware — [since] she’s Swedish — that she’s more open with nudity. She is still a woman and wants to look good and isn’t just walking around naked. But I was more conscientious about it.”

Snow continued: “She would go like, ‘Do you want me to put my body here so you don’t have to show this part of yourself?’ I was like, ‘This is so selfless and nice.’”

According to an official synopsis, season 2 of The Hunting Wives picks up with Sophie and Margo “on the outs.”

“But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together,” read the description for the hit series. “As they play their dangerous games the question arises. Are they the hunters or the hunted?”

Season 1 of The Hunting Wives is currently streaming on Netflix.
