Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have said they are “heartbroken” following the tragic family loss of one of their beloved Chihuahuas, with them admitting “we’ll miss you so much.”

The 25-year-old son of former England football captain David Beckham and Spice Girl Victoria, shared an emotional post on Instagram in which he paid tribute to his faithful hound, which was followed by a similarly emotional message after the death of their dog.

Brooklyn, who is an amateur photographer and a YouTube chef, told his followers that Nala had passed away following a visit to a grooming salon. Sharing a photo of him cuddling the tiny pet dog, Brooklyn wrote an emotional message: “Dear Nala, we miss you so much.

“You were unexpectedly taken from way us too soon and hope others don’t experience a loss after something as simple as a grooming. You were the cutest little baby girl and we will always think of you. We know you are looking and barking down on us x We love you so much and miss you beyond.”

Nicola, 29, also shared a photo of their beloved hound with the dog close to her face. The actress said that this had been the “hardest month” of her life and this loss just about finished it off. Nicola wrote: “I can’t even find the words to describe my heartbreak on so many levels. Nala was perfectly healthy when she went to the groomers yesterday but came out hyperventilating and couldn’t catch her breath.”

Nicola continued: “We rushed her to the vet and she passed hours later. I’m sharing this in hopes that it might prevent this from happening to other dogs. Her life was taken away from her way too soon. She was my beautiful queen and stayed by my side for nine years through everything.”

Nicola finished by sharing a warning to those who trust their pets with others. She added: “One day without Nala on earth feels like an eternity. I wish I could have her back in my arms. I pray she’s with my Naunni. I hope I see them soon.” The comments were soon flooded with messages of condolences as fans paid tribute to the couple’s dog. One wrote: “So incredibly sorry for your loss.” Another added: “I’m so sorry, that’s a pain in the heart for sure. Sounds like you loved your Sweet Nala very well.”
