Bunnie XO is reflecting on a hitching experience that could’ve changed the course of her life.

While reading anonymous confessions on an episode of the Dumb Blonde podcast released on Friday, Jan. 9, Bunnie (real name Alyssa DeFord) admitted that she could relate to a listener’s submission about getting into a car with older men despite them being strangers.

The listener praised their “guardian angels” for keeping them unscathed after running away as a teenager and getting into a car with men in their mid 20s who proceeded to share acid with them. “I could have ended up on a milk carton,” the listener recounted.

Bunnie, 45, went on to reveal her own harrowing hitchhiking experience after agreeing with her podcast co-hosts that the method of traveling for free with a passing vehicle is rare now compared to the ‘60s. “I have crazy stories like that too, where it literally teaches you so many lessons in one f—— situation,” she said, adding that the listener who sparked the discussion probably “never” hitchhiked again.

“Tasha and I did get picked up one time whenever we were walking down by the trailer park and we were underage,” said Bunnie. “Some f—— grown ass man picked us up and took us to his f—— house. Like, the amount of s— that we f—— did.”

When questioned about how the situation unfolded, Bunnie revealed they were lured by the man’s German luxury car. “A Porsche,” she said, adding, “That’s all that it took for us. We were like, ‘Oh, Porsche.’ ”

“I’d never do that again. True. I f—— learned a lesson,” Bunnie continued, without revealing what happened at the stranger’s house.

She then urged her listeners not to try hitchhiking because it doesn’t always go smoothly. “Do not f—— hitchhike. It’s not cool,” Bunnie concluded.

The glimpse into her childhood comes after Bunnie spoke about parenting her 17-year-old stepdaughter, Bailee Ann, on a previous episode of the pod.

Bunnie and Jelly Roll (real name Jason DeFord) were granted primary custody of Bailee Ann in 2016. That year, their family also grew with the addition of Jelly Roll’s son, Noah Buddy, from a previous relationship.

“I just feel like I’ve been healing so much trauma with my parents that I finally am ready to be a parent,” Bunnie said in January 2025. “Like, I’ve helped raise Bailee since she was seven, and I think that also showed me that, hey, I’m not gonna f— up a kid’s life too badly.”

“But I feel like I’ve mastered… not mastered, but I feel like I can do this. You know?” she added. “And I just want a little piece of J and I together.”

In recent months, Bunnie has shared her IVF journey on social media as the couple tries to have a baby. “It is tough, but at the same time it’s like, you just put it in God’s hands,” she said in November 2025. “If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. And if not, we can always adopt.

“I’m totally open to adoption too, and so is my husband,” she added.
