Buh-bye, blond.

After a whopping 30 years sporting platinum hair, Carrie Underwood surprised fans by returning to her natural, darker color.

The “American Idol” judge debuted the shade in a series of Instagram photos, captioning the post, “Well, the last time I saw my natural hair color, I was probably about 12 years old, but I thought it might be time to give it a second chance.

Thanks, @hairbykatelin_ at @parlour3beauty for helping me get back to my roots!”

In the photos, Underwood’s shiny locks are styled in a middle part with loose curls that hit a few inches below her shoulders.

Fans are loving the hair transformation, with many saying her tresses look much healthier now. “Looks so much better than the blonde extensions. It’s healthy and natural looking!” one wrote.

“🙌 YASS!! I wish more women would embrace their more natural color! It looks great,” another user commented.

A third added, “Love it! Makes you stand out from all of the other blondes! Perfect!”

The Nashville-based hairstylist shared the new ‘do on her Instagram page, too, writing, “Took @carrieunderwood to her more natural side | cut, color & style”

In 2014, during the “Before He Cheats” singer’s heyday, she spoke to Refinery29 about her hallmark bleach blond shade, admitting that she was open to switching it up.

“I’d love to do a little more with hair color,” she said. “I’ve always been blonde! The problem is, I don’t want to shock people –– like if I dyed my hair brown, I don’t want people think I’m turning dark and serious.

I wish I had started changing my hair around in the beginning, then it wouldn’t be such a big shock if I did something like that now.”

Perhaps this marks a new beauty era for the country singer.
