Channing Tatum shows off drastic weight fluctuation as he vows to never do another ‘fat role’

Channing Tatum announced he’s done taking “fat roles” in movies as he showed off a drastic weight fluctuations he’s undergone for past parts.

In the first of three photos, the “Step Up” star showed off his rippling abs as he stood in a window reflection.

“We back up! lol. 1st photo is today 205,” he wrote in a lengthy caption posted Friday.

The second mirror photo showed the actor with a noticeably less toned body and a 30-pound weight gain for a movie called “Josephine,” which he filmed last year.

The third snap showed Tatum slimmed way down at 172 for a movie called “Roofman,” which recently wrapped filming.

“I’m so grateful for my genetics,” the “Blink Twice” actor wrote. “Grateful for my chef/nutritionist/witch. Grateful for my trainer. I couldn’t make these big swings in my weight without you guys.

“But i won’t be doing anymore fat roles haha,” the 44-year-old said, adding that gaining weight for a role is too “hard on the body” now and too hard to take back off.

“But damn when i look at these pics it’s just wild what the human body and will can do,” he concluded.

In a 2022 interview with Kelly Clarkson, Tatum admitted he almost didn’t want to do a third “Magic Mike” film because of the grueling fitness demands.

“Even if you do workout, to be that kind of in shape is not natural,” he told the talk show host. “I don’t know how people who work a 9 to 5 actually stay in shape, because it’s my full-time job and I can barely do it.”

The actor said at the time it used to be easier to fluctuate for roles, but “now I can’t get it off as easy.”

Tatum’s previous roles, including playing a stripper in “Magic Mike,” a soccer player in “She’s The Man” and a professional dancer in the “Step Up” series, all required the actor to stay in top shape.

The “21 Jump Street” star’s latest thirst trap photos come as rumors of his new relationship with model Inka Williams heat up.

Earlier this month, a source told People that the model “makes him happy” and he’s doing well following his October 2024 split from fiancé Zoë Kravitz.
