Cheryl Burke Addresses Plastic Surgery Speculation, Reveals What She’s Had Done

Dancing With the Stars alum Cheryl Burke is sharing exactly what work she’s had done amid viral speculation.
“Let’s clear this up for the 1,000th time. Botox? Yes. Surgery? No,” Burke, 41, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, August 14. “Fillers? No. Scars? Nonexistent. Skin bleaching? Nope.”
Burke further revealed “the mystery” behind her changing appearance.
“My skin tone shift is just what happens when you swap tanning beds for SPF and let your natural half-Pinay, half-white self come through. That’s it,” she wrote. “You can age gracefully and still enjoy a little Botox. Stop confusing it with plastic surgery.”
According to Burke, she credits her youthful glow to “skincare, makeup and good lighting.”
Burke recently shut down the rumors that she had “gone under the knife” in her Us Weekly cover story.
“There’s been no nips, tucks, Ozempic, nothing like that. To be called a ‘liar’ [on social media], obviously, doesn’t feel good, but I also know my truth,” Burke exclusively told Us earlier this month. “I’ve seen horrible videos, plastic surgery gone wrong. Also, my mom is blind in one eye — she tried to get an extra fold in her eye — and that scared the crap out of me. She woke up blind and the doctor was like, ‘Sorry, I messed up.’ She lost the lawsuit.”
She added, “When you do plastic surgery, it’s at your own risk. I don’t want that to happen ever. For me, it’s just not an option.”
Now, Burke is focused on “learning to feel comfortable” in her own skin — and the “actual skin [she] was born with.”
“This is who I am, and I feel great that I don’t have layers of makeup on; this is just for me,” Burke said. “Now, who knows? Maybe in my chapter three, I may want to start tanning again and put on tons of makeup, but I’m in this era of my life, and if you don’t accept me, unfollow me.”
Amidst all the chatter about her appearance, Burke has also been accused of using Ozempic to slim down, which she’s denied on multiple occasions. She recently told Us that there’s “no way” she’d even try the controversial weight loss drug.
“I faint at the sight of needles. And I’ve heard of side effects, people not feeling well, certain things that happen that are too gross to share. I’m not willing to feel like that,” she explained. “I changed my eating habits. I stopped eating past 7 p.m. and it changed my whole body. It wasn’t so much about a number on the scale as it was about how I feel.”
