Chris Pratt reveals Christmas gift Arnold Schwarzenegger gave him

Chris Pratt doesn’t have a plan for the massive portrait painting his father-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger gifted him for Christmas.

“His love language is giving gifts, that’s for sure. He just goes all out with his gifts,” the “Avengers” star said on Thursday’s episode of “The Graham Norton Show.”

“This year, one was like a six foot by eight foot portrait painting of all three of my children and him as Santa Claus, and it’s very lifelike and it’s very big and it’s him as Santa Claus,” Pratt added. “And then the three kids peering around the Christmas tree seeing him eat a cookie.”

When Norton pointed out that the gift couldn’t be used “year round,” Pratt admitted that it could only be displayed during the holidays.

“Yeah, I’m not sure exactly what we’re supposed to do with that for the rest of the year,” he said. “I think we’ll have to break that out in November sometime.”

The “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor, 46, said the massive portrait will “be a wonderful decoration” for his home with wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, 36, and kids Lyla, 5, Eloise, 3, and Ford, 1.

“It was a very thoughtful gift,” he added, noting that the 78-year-old “Terminator” star once “gave [him] a pair of crocodile boots that he wore in a movie.”

“We have the same size feet,” Pratt divulged, noting that while the boots were “regifted,” they are “iconic.”

Pratt and Katherine married in Montecito, Calif., in 2019. He was previously married to “Scary Movie” actress Anna Faris, 49, with whom he shares son Jack, 13.

The “Everwood” alum has shared tidbits about Arnold’s gift-giving prowess before.

In an August 2025 interview on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Pratt said his father-in-law is “so good at giving personalized gifts, like quilts with our faces.”

“And for Mother’s Day, he had me bring all the children over, and he set up a whole painting party,” the father of three divulged.

“It was very cute to see the Goverator, you know, painting with the girls.”
