Cracks fly at Andrew Cuomo’s expense as Sandra Lee gets White House role

There were a few cracks at the expense of former governor and one-time presidential hopeful Andrew Cuomo in the capital this week.

His former girlfriend Sandra Lee — once tipped as future First Lady — was in D.C. in her new role as the member of the White House Historical Association’s Board Council.

And she spent the evening at the landmark at a dinner celebrating a new exhibit.

An insider snickered to Page Six: “At least one of them made it to the White House.”

The event, hosted by President Biden and Dr. Jill Biden was a grand opening dinner for “The People’s House: A White House Experience,” an interactive exhibition that “ tells the story of the Executive Mansion, its inhabitants and the people who have dedicated their careers to its functions.”

It was attended by others members of the White House Historical Association, as well as Martin Sheen (who, needless to say, played one of the most beloved fictional presidents, the “West Wing’s” Jeb Bartlet), Lyndon B. Johnson’s daughter Luci Johnson, and several other family members of former presidents.

Cuomo, who was with the “Semi Homemade” TV chef from 2005 until 2019, was once tipped to be a Democrat frontrunner for the 2024 or 2028 election.

But shortly after they split, Cuomo’s hopes began to crumble first with his botched response to the COVID crisis in retirement homes and then with his resignation as governor over sexual misconduct allegations. (He has denied the allegations).

He’s since lowered his sights a touch.

Earlier this week the Post reported that supporters of the ex-Gov. “are spreading the word” that he is running for mayor as the Adams administration faces mounting investigations.

Meanwhile, his former righthand Mellisa DeRosa has been stirring the Gracie Mansion chatter, saying, during a Forbes interview that her phone was “ringing off the hook” about a Cuomo run.

“What people are saying is, ‘he’s got to run, he’s got to run.”
