David Beckham, Dwyane Wade and more stars teaming up for Reserve Padel’s cancer fundraiser

David Beckham, Dwyane Wade and more stars have teamed up with Wayne Boich’s Reserve Padel to help benefit cancer patients.
Reserve Cares, the charitable arm of the Miami padel club, will host its inaugural Moonlight Open at Reserve Miami Seaplane on Friday.
The fundraiser is being held in honor of professional padel player Charlie Moon, who is currently battling leukemia, and will benefit patients at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
“Padel has truly saved my life — it’s given me strength, purpose and community during the hardest battles of my life,” Moon said in a statement to Page Six.
“As a four-time cancer survivor, and now facing it for a fifth time, every day is a gift. When I play, I don’t care about winning or losing — I’m just grateful to be on the court, alive.”
Boich and the event’s pro padel competitors, Agustín Tapia, Ale Galán, Arturo Coello and Juan Martín Díaz, are hoping to raise $1 million in support of cancer research and treatment at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
We’re told that with the backing of Beckham, Wade, Kevin Love and other big donors, the foundation has already raised more than $800,000.
Additionally, organizers have created an online silent auction to help raise funds.
“It’s going to be an incredible night of padel, community and giving back,” Beckham said in a video publicizing the event posted to his Instagram Story on Thursday.
