Demi Moore is ‘100 percent’ ready to be a silver fox

Hollywood is about to have another silver fox.

Demi Moore, 62, shared her thoughts on her iconic, long hair and whether she would ever change it in an interview with People for the cover of their World’s Most Beautiful 2025 issue.

When asked if she could see herself embracing gray, “The Substance” actress answered, “Oh, 100 percent.”

Moore further explained, “I look at women who have that incredible gray, especially long, and I think it’s striking.”

Confirming that she would definitely lean into the look, she added, “Mine’s like a smattering of gray that makes my hair look murky.”

She added that she didn’t start dyeing her signature raven locks until she was around 55-years-old.

Moore would be joining many other well-known female silver foxes in Hollywood, including Andie MacDowell, Jane Fonda and Jamie Lee Curtis.

MacDowell, who has been the most outspoken about embracing the title, said on “The Drew Barrymore Show” in 2021 that she was “loving” her gray hair, which she even fought with her managers over.

“I wasn’t coloring my hair and you could see my roots, and my daughters kept telling me that I looked badass. And that idea that I could look badass appealed to me,” the actress told the talk show host.

Meanwhile, Moore was also asked about her famed pixie cut in the late ’80s and early ’90s. When asked if she’d ever undergo a big chop again, she was less enthused.

“I don’t know,” the mother of three responded. “There’s energy in hair, you know? But I never like to say never.”

In fact, keeping her waist-length look has been somewhat of an act of defiance for the Oscar nominee.

“I remember hearing, ‘Oh, you get to a certain age, and it’s not appropriate to have long hair,’” she told People. “It really should be more what feels comfortable on you. Part of it was I looked around and saw women of a certain age cutting their hair, almost neutralizing themselves, and it didn’t make sense for me.”
