Steven Bartlett says he fears making a mistake on the Soccer Aid pitch – because he knows it will go viral.

The entrepreneur, 31, will be turning out for England in the charity match at Stamford Bridge in June. A previous participant, he says his biggest worry is messing up on the ball.

The Dragon’s Den star said: “I know if there is one bad clip of me, my friends are going to post it everywhere. The fear of becoming a GIF haunts me – but it is all a laugh.” Steven says he’s looking forward to the June 9 event as he loves football.

He said: “I am a lifelong football fan, I am obsessed with football. All I do is work, gym and go to football. I remember watching it as a kid and I would be dreaming about wanting to play for Soccer Aid one day. I can’t think of a greater honour than to play in stadiums that I love and raise money for charity.”

While talking about his fellow Dragons, Steven said that Peter Jones would struggle with the training. He said: “I did ask Peter if he would ever consider as he is a big Chelsea fan and it is being held at Stamford Bridge this year. It is not quite right for him, the training would be a lot longer.”

The TV star added that he feels hugely “responsible” that Soccer Aid is a success and that it raises as much money as possible for charity. He said: “I do always feel the responsibility that we sell out and people do see the message about the good work Unicef does. You want to make sure that Soccer Aid is a success. You want to make sure that the crowd is entertained, there is a lot of responsibility on the day – it does make you a bit nervous.”
