Ellen Pompeo and Husband Chris Ivery Bring 3 Kids to World Series Game in Rare Family Outing
Ellen Pompeo and husband Chris Ivery knocked it out of the park by making the 2025 World Series a family affair.
The couple brought all three of their kids, daughters Stella, 16, and Sienna, 11, and son Eli, 11, to game five of the baseball championship on Wednesday, October 29, in Los Angeles. Pompeo, 55, and Ivery, 57, showed support for the L.A. Dodgers, with Ivery wearing an “LA” hat and a blue button-down shirt.
The Grey’s Anatomy star, meanwhile, was more subtle in her team spirit. Pompeo opted for a blue pinstripe shirt, jeans, a gray fedora and a navy bandana tied around her neck in honor of the blue and white MLB team.
While the Dodgers’ opponent the Toronto Blue Jays also have the color blue as part of their uniforms, Pompeo’s kids made it clear they are all about the California squad.
Stella wore a 1988 World Series T-shirt, which the Dodgers won after beating the Oakland Athletics, giving a shout-out to one of the team’s past wins. Eli and Sienna both rocked LA hats, with Eli wearing a blue tee and shorts and a white bandana. Sienna topped off her look with a white shirt, jean shorts and a blue and white bandana.
During the game, which ended with the Blue Jays beating the Dodgers 6-1, Pompeo enjoyed time with her family, according to photos obtained by Us Weekly. (The Dodgers and Blue Jays play game 6 in Toronto on Friday, October 31.)
The actress also chatted with “Call Her Daddy” podcast host, Alex Cooper, who was at Dodger Stadium for the big game. Pompeo posed with Cooper, 31, and her eldest daughter in what appeared to be a suite at the stadium.
Pompeo and Ivery tied the knot in 2007. The couple welcomed their first child, Stella, in 2009. Daughter Sienna and son Eli followed in 2014 and 2016, respectively.
“What’s the secret? We’ve been doing it for a long time. I think the secret is taking the time that we need,” Ivery exclusively told Us in February 2019 of how he and Pompeo kept their romance alive. “Like if it’s me and her and we need a date night, we take it. It’s just sort of supporting each other. And, obviously, with three kids it’s ample. Her on set, me downtown, it’s a lot. But she’s my biggest fan. I’m her biggest fan.”
Throughout their relationship and her career, Pompeo has managed to keep her family’s life as private as possible. The crew rarely steps out as a unit, making their Dodgers outing even more exciting for fans.
Prior to going to the MLB game together, the brood was photographed in April when Pompeo received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
At the time, the actress posed for pictures with her husband and two of their three children, Stella and Eli. During the event, Pompeo made sure to include Sienna, telling her loved ones, “Everybody say ‘Sienna’ because she’s not here!” as they smiled for photos.
Pompeo later thanked her family as she gave an acceptance speech in Hollywood. “This doesn’t happen overnight, and it doesn’t happen easily,” she said in April. “It takes a village. I love you Stella. I love you Eli.”
