Emily Maynard’s Pregnant Daughter Ricki Shares Sonogram of Her Baby Girl: ‘Perfect Gift’
Emily Maynard’s daughter, Ricki Hendrick, is ready to celebrate every milestone in her ongoing pregnancy journey.
After a doctor’s visit on Wednesday, September 10, the 20-year-old decided to share a sonogram of her baby girl after a routine pregnancy checkup.
“Anatomy scan with a baby that loves to hide her face,” Ricki wrote via her Instagram Story.
In a separate post, the mom-to-be said she loved the first images so much that she wanted to go home with as many as possible.
“Had to go back 2 hours later to try and get all of them,” she wrote. “The only thing I noticed is how my angel, perfect gift from God, has some very noticeable ears.”
Last month, Ricki announced she is expecting her first baby when sharing a sonogram photo via her Instagram Story. She accompanied the post with a quote from Love Island USA’s Huda Mustafa, writing, “Netflix told me I’m not allowed to talk about it.”
In another upload, Ricki shared a video of the baby moving in utero.
“My heart is so full, yet my stomach is so empty because she hates all food,” she wrote via her Instagram Story. “I’m convinced.”
Fans were introduced to Ricki when her mom competed for Brad Womack’s heart on The Bachelor in 2011.
At the time, Emily, now 39, revealed she was previously engaged to Ricky Hendrick when he died in an airplane accident in 2004 at 24 years old. After his death, Emily discovered she was pregnant with her first child.
At age 19, Emily welcomed daughter Josephine Riddick Hendrick — whom she calls Ricki in honor of her late fiancé.
Although Emily has stepped away from reality TV after becoming the Bachelorette for season 8 in 2012, fans still receive updates on her family life via social media. (She married Tyler Johnson in 2014 and has since welcomed five additional children.)
“My beautiful girl. I’ll always and forever have your back,” Emily previously wrote via Instagram in June 2024, while celebrating Ricki’s 19th birthday. “I love you and am so proud of the person you are. … You’re a gift to the world!”
While Emily has yet to address her daughter’s pregnancy, Ricki continues to update followers on her journey to motherhood.
Earlier this month, Ricki shared a glimpse into her Google search. The topic she was investigating was “how to get rid of pregnancy nose.”
According to Healthline, pregnancy nose is a phenomenon some people experience during pregnancy, in which a person may feel that their nose has increased in size or is wider than usual, particularly at the tip, due to an increase in hormones.
