Equinox opens before dawn for Mark Wahlberg so star can workout ahead of Fanatics Fest
The early bird gets the burn!
We hear Equinox opened its doors before the crack of dawn for Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg, who had the whole gym to himself.
“The Departed” star was pumping iron ahead of his appearance at Michael Rubin’s Fanatics Fest on Friday.
The trendy Equinox location — where celebs like Lenny Kravitz, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have been spotted working out — opened its Hudson Yards location at 4:30a.m. so that Wahlberg and a pal could get their work out in.
We hear that Wahlberg started out using the cold plunge in the spa, then headed down to the club, a source told Page Six.
“He did mostly machine equipment for his workout,” they said.
He shared a video of himself entering a cold plunge tub on Instagram: It was so cold, it left him looking like, “I got another f–king farmer’s tan, a famer’s burn,” he said in the clip.
Fans also spotted the actor at the Javitz Center for Fanatics Fest, where Wahlberg had a “Boston reunion” with Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman.
Another New England legend, Tom Brady, appeared at the fest to speak on a panel with Rubin and rapper Travis Scott.
Scott surprised the crowd by launching into a wild performance after the chat about brand collaborations.
Brady was also leading the “Fanatics Games” after day one of the fest — where fans and athletes can compete for prizes including $1 million and a 2025 Ferrari.
Brady went head to head with his perpetual rival Eli Manning.
Also at the fest, Jay Z launched a pop up of his famed 40/40 Club for VIPs, and the rpper was spotted hobnobbing with Scott, Michael Strahan and Victor Cruz at the club.
Stars at the three-day fest on Friday also included Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Peyton and Eli Manning, Kevin Costner, Dwyane Wade, Spike Lee and more.
