This is not an American horror story.

Eric Roberts clarified that he and his daughter, Emma Roberts, are not estranged.

Speaking on Sunday’s episode of “Really Famous With Kara Mayer Robinson,” he said that their relationship is “only complicated through outside eyes … because they don’t get any of it.”

“So they have their own take, whatever that is,” the “Runway Train” author, 65, added.

Despite the rumors, he gushed about being “so proud” of the “American Horror Story” actress, 35, whom he welcomed in 1991 with ex Kelly Cunningham.

Nonetheless, Eric acknowledged that he could have been a better father throughout her childhood.

“I was a wash rag. I was not to be depended on emotionally whatsoever,” the actor — who self-described as a “car wreck” — confessed, noting that he takes “full responsibility for it.”

Amid their relationship rollercoaster, Eric fondly reflected on how becoming a dad changed his life.

He recalled being able to soothe a newborn Emma by signing “Happy Birthday” to her — a song he also sang while Cunningham was pregnant.

“She stopped screaming and tried to find my face with her little blind eyes,” he recounted. “It was the most complete moment maybe I have ever had in my life. That something I did was recognized by a brand-new creature who had my DNA. Oh my god. And there she was, and she already knew me.”

“She tried to find me,” the “Dark Knight” actor continued. “It was magic. And I’ll always have that.”

In October 2024, Eric was asked to reflect on the “saddest moment” of his life, which he confessed was the “loss of relationship” with the “Scream Queens” actress.

Eric previously gushed over Emma’s work during an interview with Page Six in February.

He explained that he’s very proud of her “every day” and that one of his favorite films of hers is the 2023 rom-com “Maybe I Do.”
