Erika Jayne breaks her silence on new romance with John McPhee

Erika Jayne is having a “really nice” time with her new man, John “Shrek” McPhee.

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star confirmed her relationship with the Hollywood bodyguard on the Wednesday episode of her and Teddi Mellencamp’s “Diamonds in the Rough” podcast.

“I met someone and we went out on two dates, and then we went to get a manicure-pedicure,” she explained after photos of the pair were released earlier this month.

“What was a nice, private moment and a nice, private thing I was having for myself was ruined,” she admitted, adding that they “obviously” didn’t know photos were being taken.

“It was really nice,” she said of their romance. “Like, I feel comfortable holding this person’s hand, and he’s a nice man. I haven’t been seen with anybody in five years. So this is a really nice person, and I enjoy my time with him.”

As we previously reported, Jayne was first linked to McPhee earlier this month. The couple was spotted holding hands while out and about in Los Angeles.

McPhee is a retired US Army Special Operations Sergeant Major. He’s also “The Hills” alum Heidi Montag’s bodyguard.

The date appeared to be a casual outing as Jayne, 54, was dressed down in jeans, a white T-shirt and a pink baseball hat.

McPhee was wearing a pair of cargo shorts, Crocs and a T-shirt that read “Slaughter Things.”

Jayne is currently going through a divorce with her husband of 22 years, Tom Girardi, who recently began serving his 7-year prison sentence for fraud on July 18.

However, after a nearly five-year wait, the divorce is at risk of being thrown out after a rep for the disgraced lawyer neglected to show up to a court hearing for the matter on June 26, according to Us Weekly.

Their next hearing is scheduled for Aug. 1, and both parties will have to explain why no judgment has been entered.
