Erling Haaland shocks fans with new haircut — see his buzzcut

Manchester City soccer star Erling Haaland is going short.

Famous for his long blond locks, the athlete recently got a fresh buzzcut ahead of the club’s Premier League opener against Bournemouth — and documented it all on YouTube.

“New Season, New Hair!!” he titled his vlog, telling fans, “This beautiful blond hair, time to let it go.”

“You don’t have to do this,” cautioned his hairstylist — to which Haaland confidently replied, “No, I’m ready.”

His girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng Johansen, was on hand for the big chop, quipping beforehand, “I think I will cry.”

While this might seem like an impulse decision, the 26-year-old has actually been contemplating the dramatic cut for a while.

“I was thinking about doing this straight after the World Cup, but I was so busy so I didn’t do it. [The] season starts now, so it’s time to get a fresh start,” he shared.

Post-chop, Haaland FaceTimed his friends and teammates to show off his new look.

“You gonna be faster now, or what?” asked Zlatan Ibrahimovic, after joking that he must have “lost a bet.”

“Zlatan told me never cut your hair because your strength is in your hair, [so] I’m a bit nervous,” Haaland has shared before lopping off his flowing locks.

Spanish football manager Josep “Pep” Guardiola — who is famously bald — was stunned by his friend’s transformation.

“You’re lucky to have hair. I would love to have it!” he joked.
