Everything to Know About the 2026 Golden Globes: Who’s Hosting, Who’s Honored and More
Nikki Glaser returns for her second year as Golden Globe Awards host in 2026.
The comedian earned rave reviews for her zingers aimed at Ben Affleck, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Selena Gomez during the 2025 event, so it’s no surprise that producers signed her up for a repeat. (Glaser follows in the footsteps of iconic Golden Globes hosts such as Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Jimmy Fallon.)
The Golden Globe Foundation — which succeeded Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) as the award show’s governing body in 2023 — will also honor the very best in TV and film in front of a star-studded crowd in Beverly Hills.
On top of the awards season excitement, Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Mirren are set to receive honorary Golden Globes in recognition of their bodies of work.

The 83rd Golden Globe Awards will be held on January 11, 2026. CBS and Paramount+ will air live coverage of the ceremony.

The Golden Globes will be held at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. The venue’s International Ballroom has been the official home of the Golden Globes since 1961.

Who Is Hosting the 2026 Golden Globe Awards?
Nikki Glaser will return for the second year in a row as host of the Golden Globe Awards in 2026.
The Golden Globe Foundation and Dick Clark Productions were so pleased with her hosting debut in January 2025 that they signed her up for a second year in March.
“Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” Glaser said in a statement. “I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from The White Lotus who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in Season Four as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”
Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne celebrated Glaser’s return following her triumphant hosting debut.
“Nikki Glaser brought a refreshing spark and fearless wit to the Golden Globes stage this year. Her sharp humor, and bold presence set the tone for an unforgettable night, making the ceremony feel vibrant and most of all fun,” Hoehne said.
Glaser was recruited to host the show after comedian Jo Koy received tepid reviews for his Golden Globes debut in 2024.
Who Will Receive the Carol Burnett Award?
The Golden Globes have given out the Carol Burnett Award annually since 2019 in honor of “outstanding contributions to television on or off the screen.” The special award is seen as the TV equivalent of the Globes’ film-centric Cecil B. DeMille Award.
In November 2025, the Golden Globe Foundation confirmed that the 2026 recipient of the Carol Burnett Award will be Sex and the City and And Just Like That star Sarah Jessica Parker. Parker has previously won six Golden Globes throughout her career.
“Sarah Jessica Parker’s career embodies the very spirit of the Carol Burnett Award,” Golden Globes president Hoehne said in a statement. “Her trailblazing impact on television and her dedication to storytelling across stage and screen have left an indelible mark on popular culture. We are honored to celebrate her extraordinary contributions to entertainment.”
The Globes will profile Parker’s life and career in the brand new Golden Eve special, airing on January 8, 2026, on CBS and Paramount+. This TV special will offer “viewers an unprecedented look at the honorees’ legacy while celebrating their body of work with personal stories, unforgettable Golden Globes moments, curated career retrospectives, and special presenters.”
Previous recipients of the award have included Carol Burnett herself in 2019, former talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, pioneering TV producer Norman Lear, American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy and sitcom icon Ted Danson.
Who Will Receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award?
The film-centric lifetime achievement award — which is named in honor of its first-ever recipient, director Cecil B. DeMille — will be given to Helen Mirren in 2026. Mirren has won three Golden Globe Awards in the past, including Best Actress in a Motion Picture — Drama for 2006’s The Queen.
“Helen Mirren is a force of nature and her career is nothing short of extraordinary,” Golden Globes president Hoehne said. “Her transcendent performances and commitment to her craft continue to inspire generations of artists and audiences alike. It is a profound honor to present her with the Cecil B. DeMille Award.”
Mirren will also be featured in the Golden Eve special on CBS and Paramount+ on January 8, 2026.
