Fans began to speculate that Martin, who has produced numerous of Swift’s songs in the past, was collaborating with her on The Life of a Showgirl. The rumors began to swift after Swift dropped a Spotify playlist in August 2025 titled “And, baby, that’s show business for you,”

Swift confirmed the theories during her “New Heights” appearance, sharing that the entire 12-track album is produced by her, Martin and Shellback.” We knew that we had to bring the best ideas that we’ve ever had, and I also know that I’m putting pressure on this record by saying that but I don’t care because I love it that much. I’m so proud of it,” she shared during the podcast. “It just comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life. And so that effervescence has come through on this record.”

Travis said the album is “all bangers,” Swift promised the lyricism that stemmed from her Folklore and Evermore albums will still be present, which Martin wanted to make sure she didn’t lose.

The title track, which is the last on the album, will feature Sabrina Carpenter, who opened for Swift on the Latin America, Australia and Singapore legs of her Eras Tour.
