Exclusive | Sandra Lee lurks at home she once shared with Andrew Cuomo to publicly roast new owner’s ‘lazy’ landscaping
Hysteria over wisteria!
Cookbook author Sandra Lee visited the Westchester County home she once shared with ex-boyfriend, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo — to publicly roast its current owners over their “lazy” and “tragic” landscaping.
And it’s not even the first time she’s pulled the stunt.
Lee is facing backlash over an Instagram post she made this week about her former estate, known as Lily Pond, which she sold in 2020 for $1.85 million.
“Makes me sick! So not cool—I can’t even imagine what the inside looks like. #lazyowners #tragedy #notcool,” Lee captioned the video showing what appeared to be a mostly pristine lawn with minimal overgrowth.
But apparently Lee is no fan of an unkempt bush and saw botanical catastrophe.
Lee complains in the clip that the lily pads and wisteria are “overgrown,” and claims there is a “tree half cut off,” showing a pine with a branch missing, most likely due to recent storms.
Lee continues as she films what appears to be a freshly mowed lawn, whining about “weeds” and lamenting dramatically, “It’s awful. It makes me so sad. Look at this disaster. I can’t believe it.”
Bizarrely, she says “you can’t even see the boxwood,” despite a number of large boxwoods being clearly — even prominently — visible.
Lee has now deleted and disabled the comments on the video after many called her out for publicly criticizing the homeowners, not to mention trespassing.
“So you’re not only trespassing but shaming the owners? Let’s hope they’re not going through a crisis that caused a shift in their priorities,” said one. Many others seconded that take, representing scenarios in which they may not be able to care for the lawn — which Page Six thinks, for the record, looks great!
Another simply told her, “It’s frankly none of your business.”
Lee had moved to Los Angeles following her split from the former New York governor in September 2019. She also purchased a home in Lake Balboa, California.
A source told Page Six in 2023 that Lee was angling to buy back the house, when she once again stomped her way onto her former property along with paparazzi agency Splash News.
A source close to the “Semi Homemade” author told Page Six at the time that Lee was “sobbing” and “visibly shaken” over what she believed were the “ruins” of her landscaping work.
