Fans think Taylor Swift’s gift to Teyana Taylor was a dig at Kayla Nicole

Fans believe Taylor Swift subtly shaded her fiancé’s ex Kayla Nicole by gifting her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” to Teyana Taylor — whose ex-husband, Iman Shumpert, once dated the sports journalist.

On Tuesday, the “One Battle After Another” actress took to her Instagram Stories to thank Swift for sending her gifts and a copy of her new record-breaking project.

“Thank you Tay Tay!!” Taylor, 34, wrote atop the photo of the gift box set.

The choreographer also shared a snap of a handwritten note from the “Bad Blood” singer.

“Well hi! If you’re someone who has shown love, someone I admire and ultimately someone I’d want to celebrate with as we welcome ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ into the world,” Swift wrote.

“I hope you like the gifts and record! With love, a showgirl named Taylor Swift,” she concluded with her famous signature.

Fans believe the 14-time Grammy winner, 35, was throwing shade at Travis Kelce’s ex Nicole, who previously dressed up as Taylor for Halloween to hit back at Shumpert.

“Some of yall are missing the real tea of this and why it’s so funny hahahaha,” tweeted one user.

“Ohh some people don’t get it yet but Taylor getting messy this era and I love it,” added another.

“She only sent it because Teyana talked mess about Kayla,” a third netizen wrote, adding, “when folks that don’t like you link up.”

“Remember when Travis’s ex was flexing on Teyana Taylor in Angel’s interview? What’d she say again about Teyana’s popularity?” commented a fourth person.

“The queen of petty she’s in her idgafa era,” claimed another fan.

As Page Six previously reported, Nicole, 33, spoke about the “craziest thing” she has ever done in a relationship.

“We weren’t in a relationship, but … I was dating a guy,” the model said on Angel Reese’s podcast in October 2024. “He dumped me through a text message … for this singer/actress who was famous at the time.

“[He] lied about it for months then popped out with her,” Nicole claimed, referring to Shumpert. “It became this public thing, like, ‘Oh, my God, we love them.’”

The Tribe Therepē founder shared that she was “devastated” and “heartbroken” when the “iconic celebrity couple” went public.

“I [had] just moved to New York to, like, be with this person and move in with them,” she recalled. “It was a whole thing.”

That Halloween, Nicole said she dressed up as Shumpert’s new partner, which internet sleuths identified as Taylor. (Nicole previously dressed as Taylor’s iconic dancing character in Kanye West’s 2016 music video for “Fade.”)

After Nicole’s story went viral, Taylor, who finalized her divorce from the former NBA star, also 35, in July 2024, called the podcast host out online.

“I know 2025 gone hate to see a Taylor coming!! ❤️‍🔥🌹🎥🎬🎞️ 💸,” the “Coming 2 America” actress cheekily wrote in her caption at the time, referring to Nicole’s ex Kelce, who was in a high-profile relationship with Swift.

“F–k the iman part, l’m divorced and happily so, however her choice of words were very distasteful and uncalled for,” Taylor wrote in a since-deleted comment on the Shade Room’s post about the interview.

“She knew exactly what she was doing. That lady said ‘she was famous at the time’ [and] also said ‘idc who see it’ [and] it was very distasteful & uncalled for,” the actress continued.

“Most importantly she knew people would dig.”

In response to Taylor’s message, Nicole, who dated Kelce, 36, on and off from 2017 to 2022, posted a video of herself along to the lyrics of Beyoncé’s 2016 song “Formation” playing in the background.

“You know you that bitch when you cause all this conversation. Always stay gracious, best revenge is your paper,” the song said.

The Kansas City Chiefs star and Swift are still going strong. In August, the power couple announced they were engaged after two years of dating.

Meanwhile, Taylor is now dating “Mufasa” actor Aaron Pierre.
