Feuding brothers Prince William, Prince Harry ‘kept their distance’ while ‘discreetly’ attending uncle’s funeral together
Feuding brothers Prince William and Prince Harry had some sort of reunion Wednesday — though, the meeting wasn’t exactly warm.
Sources told the US Sun Harry and William were both seen quietly attending their uncle Lord Robert Fellowes’ funeral in Snettisham, Norfolk, but they didn’t speak to each other under the circumstances.
“They arrived very discreetly,” one source told the outlet.
“William and Harry were both there but we never saw them speak to each other and they were keeping their distance.” a local also claimed to the Sun.
Page Six can confirm Harry did attend his uncle’s funeral at St. Mary’s Church. However, a source close to the royal told us, “It was in a personal capacity. He flew in and out.”
Prior to the funeral, the last time the siblings were seen presenting a united front was in September 2022 around the time of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
The brothers have had issues since 2016, when reports claimed William was worried about the pace of his brother’s relationship with Meghan Markle.
In July, a source told People that while the divide between the brothers is “very bad,” their bond still has a chance to be repaired.
The rift between Harry and his family was first apparent to the public in 2020 when he and wife, 42, formally renounced their titles as senior members of the royal family and moved to the US.
Also in July, a source claimed King Charles II was avoiding all calls, texts and messages from his youngest son, who is attempting to reconnect amid his battle for security for his family.
“His calls go unanswered. He has tried to reach out about the king’s health, but those calls go unanswered, too,” they said, referring to the announcement of Charles’ cancer diagnosis in February.
A royal insider previously told Page Six that the only way for Harry and Charles to repair their relationship would be for the monarch to grant Harry the security clearance “he wants so desperately.”
“As the monarch, he is the ultimate decision maker. That would be how father and son can reconcile,” said the source.
