Formula 1 star Fernando Alonso reacts to Taylor Swift’s ‘TTPD’ Aston Martin lyric 1 year after dating rumors

Fernando Alonso leaned into past Taylor Swift dating rumors after the singer seemingly referenced him in one of her new songs on “The Tortured Poets Department.”

The Formula 1 star — who was linked to Swift last April — capitalized off the hype around the pop star’s new record after she mentioned his team, Aston Martin, in the song “imgonnagetyouback.”

Shortly after the song dropped on Friday, the official Aston Martin TikTok page posted a video of Alonso listening to the tune while scrolling on an iPad.

Midway through the short clip, the Spanish F1 driver looked up and shushed the camera before looking down at the tablet again.

“Small talk, big love, act like I don’t care what you did,” Swift sings in the diss track. “I’m an Aston Martin that you steered straight into the ditch / Then ran and hid.”

The racing driver, 42, didn’t say anything in the video — which got nearly 5 million views — and had “no comment” when asked about the rumors last year.

At the time, gossip Instagram account Deuxmoi received an anonymous tip claiming the pair — who were both newly single at the time — were secretly spending time together.

However, the insider noted that there was “nothing serious” going on between the two.

Although Alonso told reporters at the time that he likes to “keep [his] personal life separate from [his] professional life,” he later added fuel to the fire with a few cryptic social media uploads.

Amid the internet frenzy, Alonso posted a five-second TikTok set to Swift’s hit “Karma.”

In the video nearly identical to the one posted Monday, the athlete scrolled on his phone before winking at the camera.

“Race week era 😉,” the two-time champion captioned the clip.

A week later, Alonso once again poked fun at the baseless rumors by posting a video of himself lifting 22-kilogram dumbbells.

“Im lifting 22’s😉,” Alonso captioned the clip, hilariously set to the tune of Swift’s song “22.”

Meanwhile, Swift — whose only connection to F1 was performing at the 2016 United States Grand Prix — never commented on her relationship status with the F1 driver. She started dating boyfriend Travis Kelce a few months later.
