G Flip Reveals Which ‘Little Moments’ and ‘Memories’ They Turned Into Tattoos and Why (Exclusive)

G Flip’s tattoo tour is even more iconic than Us could have imagined.
G Flip, 31, gave Us Weekly an exclusive breakdown of their tattoos, which span much of their body and are representative of “little moments and memories here and there.”
The Australian singer-songwriter has “forum” tattooed right above their left wrist as an homage to their “favorite venue in Melbourne, Australia,” where they played a few nights in the past.
“My nana came and I put her up on a level, she was like a queen looking over everyone, and I actually got it tattooed on stage while performing, which was kind of hard,” G Flip recalled on Tuesday, June 10. “I had to stay still and sing with this arm. I’ve got drum love, I’ve got some love hearts here just because drumming and drums, it’s my first instrument, my absolute passion.”
As a child, G Flip (real name Georgia Claire Flipo) began taking drum lessons from instructor Jenny Rose Morrish, who they now have a tattoo dedicated to. Morrish died in 2015 from cancer, and G Flip’s 2023 album, Drummer, serves partly as a tribute to her.
“She taught me everything I know about drums and made me fall in love with drums. So I also have a little dove for her as well,” the musician shared.
G Flip is married to actress and reality television star Chrishell Stause, whom they wed in 2023. They have a special tattoo dedicated to Stause, 43, who stars on Selling Sunset.
“I’ve got C in a love heart, that’s for my sweet, gorgeous wife Elle. I also have ‘no tequila’ tattooed. I got that tattooed after,” G Flip shared with Us. “I feel like growing up, the tequila in Australia wasn’t that great, and it wasn’t until I came to the States that I was like, ‘Oh, wow, this tequila’s actually quite good.’ So now I don’t mind tequila, so I need to get that fixed.”
Among the ink mentioned above, G Flip told Us they also have several tattoos dedicated to bands or artists they admire.
“I got ‘Kylie thinks I’m cute.’ Kylie Minogue, who is Australia’s biggest pop diva. She once said I was cute in an interview and my tattoo artist happened to be coming over, so I got it tattooed straight away,” G Flip told Us.
They also have lyrics from singer-songwriter Leon Bridges‘ hit song “River” tattooed across their back.
“Love that song, it’s one of my favorites. And then I have birds tattooed on my back, but I can never see the tattoos on my back, so I always ask Chrishell if they’re still there and apparently they’re still there last I checked,” they joked.
G Flip’s newest single, “Big Ol’ Hammer,” which was released Wednesday, June 11, is part of a forthcoming album they hinted to Us will be released by the end of 2025.
“And then back on the road,” they added. “Playing shows is my favorite and most comfortable [thing]. I just love it so much, love playing all the instruments and doing all the things. So, yeah, I can’t wait. I honestly can’t wait for it to be out there and for people to hear it. It’s going to be so good.”
