Gia Giudice breaks silence on being ‘calm peacemaker’ in sister Milania’s airport drama

Gia Giudice said it was her “job” to be “calm” during her sister Milania Giudice’s recent airport drama.

The 25-year-old broke her silence on the incident by responding to a fan comment on her TikTok video shared Thursday, which showed her getting ready for the “Next Gen NYC” Season 2 reunion.

The comment read, “Gia as the older sister trying to be the calm peacemaker I get you 😂😂😂.”

Gia replied, “job of being the oldest.”

Gia “liked” two other comments that said “praying for your sister” and “you’re a good sister gia.”

On Wednesday, Milania shared — and later deleted — a video showing herself in a tense encounter with Gia and their mom, “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, while surrounded by police officers at Tampa International Airport

“This is what we do now?” Milania, 20, repeatedly asked in the clip.

Teresa, 54, repeatedly told her daughter, “I love you,” while Gia tried to de-escalate the situation, telling her mom, “Let her do what she wants to do.”

Milania then told both women to “shut the f–k up.”

According to an incident report obtained by Page Six, police were told Milania was “having suicidal thoughts” and experiencing a “mental breakdown.” The report also stated that she had recently been released from a hospital and was traveling with a counselor.

Milania “got away” from the group and was last seen running through the terminal. She was located about 10 minutes later and escorted by police to her gate.

Milania is “under the care of professionals” following the incident, her manager confirmed in a statement to Page Six on Thursday.

“Milania is deeply loved by her family and friends, and all of us are doing everything we can to support her as she navigates an incredibly difficult time in her life, particularly following the devastating loss of her best friend, Victoria,” the statement read.

Her father, Joe Giudice, exclusively told Page Six on Thursday about how the death of his daughter’s close friend, Victoria Zardoya, in July has “affected” Milania “tremendously.”

“Milania is a good girl. She has a big heart, she loves deeply, and she cares enormously about the people in her life,” Joe, 54, said. “She is also young and going through a very difficult period right now.”

In May, Milania was arrested in New Jersey and charged with simple assault following a domestic dispute at the home of her mother and stepfather, Luis Ruelas, 51.

Her sister Gabriella, 22, called police, reporting that Milania was acting erratically and throwing food and candles.

A judge later alleged during Milania’s arraignment that she struck the alleged victim, identified only as “LR,” in the head with her fist, causing redness to the the person’s forehead.

Milania pleaded not guilty and enrolled in anger management classes as part of the ongoing case.
