Gisele Bündchen pleaded for Tom Brady’s time and attention in handwritten letter as their marriage crumbled

Gisele Bündchen allegedly begged Tom Brady for more help with their kids and attention to their family in a “serious” handwritten note ahead of their bombshell divorce.

The supermodel gave the retired NFL star the letter after the 2018 Super Bowl, when the New England Patriots lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, according to a new book “Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness.”

“She explained that their marriage wasn’t working,” Author Lars Anderson writes in an excerpt posted by Daily Mail Friday. “She needed more of him, more of his time, more of his attention, more of his heart.”

Anderson, who details the exes’ relationship in his book, which comes out Sept. 29, states that Bündchen, 46, needed Brady, 49, “to be present when he was at home.”

“Not responding to text messages on his constantly buzzing cell phone or replaying a game in his mind,” Anderson continues.

“She needed more help with the kids. She needed the chance to sleep in just a few days a week. She needed more time for her own career.”

Brady’s former teammate tells Anderson that Bündchen “was a bigger international star” than her now-husband.

“She was getting tired of living on Tom’s schedule and being somewhat in his shadow during football season,” the teammate alleges.

“She has a lot of pride, too. And, I mean, how many times did you see Tom supporting her career? There clearly were imbalances there.”

According to Anderson, Brady and Bündchen went to couples counseling, but the retired NFL star later put the letter away in a drawer.

“He’d pull it out on contemplative nights and reread every word, wanting to be reminded that he needed to tend to his marriage with the same tenacity he tended to his job,” Anderson writes.

Elsewhere in the book, Anderson claims Bündchen allegedly ended her and Brady’s relationship by telling him they were “not compatible” in their astrology charts.

Reps for Brady and Bündchen didn’t get back to us for comment about the upcoming book.

Bündchen pulled the plug on her 13-year marriage with Brady on Oct. 28, 2022. At the time, Brady had announced his retirement from the NFL that February before walking back on his decision a few weeks later.

“We have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always,” the health guru wrote in an Instagram statement.

The exes are parents to Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13.

Bündchen tied the knot to jujitsu instructor Joaquim Valente in December 2025, and they welcomed a 1-year-old son.
