Glen Powell and Nikki Glaser to Make SNL Hosting Debuts as Sombr and Olivia Dean Perform for the First Time

There are a lot of debuts coming to Saturday Night Live in the coming weeks.

On Friday, Oct. 17, the late-night sketch comedy show revealed its upcoming slate for the next three episodes, which sees two hosting debuts and two musical guest debuts.

The Saturday, Nov. 1 episode will be led by vets, as Miles Teller returns to host for the second time and will be joined by musical guest Brandi Carlile, who has performed three times previously on the show, including last season with Elton John.

The following week, comedian Nikki Glaser will make her hosting debut, and New York City native sombr will perform as musical guest for the first time.

Glaser, 41, previously told Variety that she has “loved the show forever” and hosting has always been a dream of hers.

“I’m not waiting for the call, but when it comes in, it’ll be an absolute yes!. It’s like you’re dying for the call, but you’re also like, ‘Please don’t call me because I know that my life will become so hard.’ ”

The Saturday, Nov. 15 episode will also see two debuts, as Glen Powell hosts for the first time and is accompanied by British breakout Olivia Dean as musical guest.

Dean, 26, just released her second album, The Art of Loving, in September, and Powell, 36, is in the midst of promoting both his new Hulu comedy Chad Powers and his upcoming thriller, The Running Man.

Season 51 kicked off on Oct. 4, with Bad Bunny as host and Doja Cat, who made her debut as musical guest, followed by Amy Poehler’s return and Role Model’s debut as musical guest.

Tina Fey, Seth Meyers and Charli xcx were among the surprise appearances during the Oct. 11 show.

On Saturday, Oct. 18, Sabrina Carpenter will pull double duty as host and musical guest for the first time. The 26-year-old singer made her SNL debut as musical guest in 2024, and appeared during the 50th anniversary special in February.
