GloRilla Clarifies Her Relationship Status: ‘Single & Celibate Until God Send Me My Husband’
Anyone looking to date GloRilla needs to be in it for the long run.
Many months after the “Wanna Be” rapper announced she was practicing 90 days of celibacy at the beginning of the year, she posted to X (formerly Twitter) on Nov. 10 to declare herself “single & celibate.”
“Single & celibate until God send me my husband,” wrote GloRilla, 25, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods.
In January, the “Tomorrow” artist told fans via social media, “Started my 90 day celibacy lil s— for new year’s or [whatever].”
At the time, however, the task wasn’t proving easy. “I’m on da 9th day & my vision blurry af !!!!! Send help,” she added at the time.
Since then, GloRilla briefly sparked dating rumors with Milwaukee Bucks player and rapper Damian Lillard, who performs under the moniker Dame D.O.L.L.A.
The two met during NBA All-Star Weekend in February, after which GloRilla wrote in an X post, as reported by multiple outlets, “Who n—- dis? Cause I want him #GetEmGlo.”
“Whoever she is can’t whoop me so I really dgaf,” she reportedly added in another post at the time.
Last month, however, Lillard was asked about the rumors. “I’m weak,” said the 34-year-old NBA star, who reportedly filed for divorce from wife Kay’la Lillard, with whom he shares three children, at a press conference last year.
“That is hilarious. Nah, I keep my personal life personal, you know? And I let it be that. I respect her as an artist,” said Lillard at the time. “We know each other, she’s an artist, I’m an artist. But as far as anything else, it ain’t nothing going on. That’s what I can tell you.”
