‘Golden Bachelor’ star Gerry Turner secretly dated another contestant after Theresa Nist divorce

“Golden Bachelor” star Gerry Turner allegedly dated another contestant, Christina Kempton, after he divorced Theresa Nist.

Nist and fellow show alums Kathy Swarts and Susan Noles discussed the alleged secret romance on Wednesday’s episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast.

“Theresa, I think you know that Gerry dated Christina from our show for a while?” Noles said to Nist, who replied, “Now I know that.”

However, Nist, 72, went on to claim that she “was the one who suggested that he go out with Christina.” Swarts noted that she and Noles made the same suggestion.

“So we’re all on the same page,” Swarts quipped, before revealing that Turner and Kempton “went out for, like, six months.”

The length of the alleged relationship surprised Nist, who let out, “What? I didn’t know that.”

Swarts added that Turner, 73, even let Kempton “read part” of his forthcoming memoir, “Golden Years: What I’ve Learned from Love, Loss and Reality TV.”

“I’m anxious to see what he’s gonna say in the book,” Nist admitted.

According to her bio, Kempton is a retired purchasing manager from Sierra Madre, Calif., who “loves playing pickleball, listening to Paul McCartney and horseback riding.” She was sent home during the third week of the “The Golden Bachelor” Season 1, which premiered in September 2023.

Turner fell in love with Nist while filming the dating competition show. They got engaged in December 2023 before getting married the following month.

By April 2024, they were separated. Eight months later, Turner announced he had been diagnosed with an incurable bone marrow cancer.

While it’s unclear when his and Kempton’s alleged romance began and ended, he has been dating a woman named Lana since March.

As for Nist, she is currently single.

“There was something, but it wasn’t for me. And actually, right now, I’m not really actively looking,” she told her former castmates. “If it happens, it happens. I’m very at peace with my life. I’m happier now than I’ve ever been.”

Reps for Turner and Kempton did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
