Gordon Ramsay has been slammed for his ‘tiny’ meal that left some stating they need to get a ‘pizza on the way home’.

The TV chef, 57, has been serving up a 14-day aged Sladesdown farm duck at his Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, in Chelsea, west London. It sets customers back £260 for their meal however some have compared the duck portion to the size of a “hamster” meal. The dish is not on the main menu of Gordon’s restaurant, but is understood to be on the three-Michelin star restaurant’s Carte Blanche option.

It sees the chef create a bespoke tasting menu at £260 per person. The minimalist piece of duck sits on a huge white plate alongside a small vegetable garnish. Gordan described his dish: “Stunning 14-day aged Sladesdown farm duck from chef Matt Abé at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.”

However, many followers were surprised by the size of the portion. One said: “Is this a portion for a hamster?” Another added: “Would still have to grab a pizza on the way home after spending a small fortune on a few bites.” Someone else commented: “Even a toddler would still be hungry with portion size. Sure it tastes great for what little on the plate though.” A fourth quipped: “Bro who tf is even getting full with these portions of dishes.” A follower cheekily asked: “And where do we go for dinner afterwards?,” as another stated: “Honestly glad I’m not rich so I get to eat a real meal portion.”

The duck dish was cooked up by Chef Patron Matt Abé, who organises the restaurant’s prestigious Carte Blanche menu. Matt has the freedom to cook dishes of his choice, so not all Carte Blanche menus would offer the duck. The restaurant has a strict dress code, with no shorts, tracksuits and hoodies.

Earlier this year Gordon angered fans with his eye-watering £65 roast dinner. The TV chef received harsh backlash after he revealed his dish consisting of beef wellington, carrots, potatoes, a single Yorkshire pudding and dash of gravy. He served up the Sunday dinner at the Savoy Grill in London, but many appeared far from impressed by his offering.

Gordon proudly showed off the dish on X – formerly Twitter – as he wrote: “Head to @savoygrillgordonramsay for the ultimate Sunday roast with all the trimmings!” The meal is topped with confit Roscoff onion and red wine jus. However, some fumed over Gordon’s portion sizes for his roast dinner. One said: “Firstly not enough, way too small, I have at least six spuds, five vegetables and more gravy and mine’s a lot cheaper. However your presentation is way better than mine cos I just like it on and up.”

Another added: “That’s not a Sunday roast, too clean. It needs to be piled on and swimming in gravy.” Someone else commented: “Looks good but nowhere near enough Yorkshire puddings or gravy, fella.” A fourth wrote: “Northern boys love more gravy than that!” As one fan quipped: “Looks great, but would I have to sell a kidney to pay for it,” and another scoffed: “All the trimmings? There’s two carrots and a piddly little Yorkshire and nothing else.”
