Gwyneth Paltrow shows support for Kate Middleton 1 year after double date with Meghan Markle, Prince Harry
Gwyneth Paltrow showed some love to Kate Middleton over the weekend after the cancer-stricken Princess of Wales attended Saturday’s Trooping the Colour ceremony.
Middleton, 42, and her husband, Prince William, 41, shared a series of photos from King Charles III’s birthday parade to their official Instagram account on Sunday.
In the pics, the couple was seen smiling beside their three adorable children — Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6 — from the balcony at Buckingham Palace.
“A memorable day at The King’s Birthday Parade,” they captioned the carousel of snaps. “From the Irish Guards Trooping their colour to seeing so many faces on the Mall, thank you for making it a day to remember. 🌦️.”
Paltrow, who is pals with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, took to the comments section to express her joy over seeing Middleton looking to be in great spirits at the annual event.
“So happy to see you looking so happy and well❤️,” the Goop Founder, 51, wrote.
The actress’ kind words racked up more than 5,000 “likes” from the princess’s fanbase.
Middleton, who announced her shocking cancer diagnosis in March, confirmed that she would be attending the royal festivities last week while giving an update on her health.
“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” Middleton shared in an Instagram statement on June 14.
“On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting,” she continued. “But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”
Paltrow doesn’t seem to be taking sides amid the Wales’ ongoing estrangement from Markle, 42, and Harry, 39.
The “Glee” alum and her husband, Brad Falchuk, famously dined with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in May 2023.
They enjoyed sushi at a London hot spot, where they were also joined by Cameron Diaz and her husband, Benji Madden, and Bumble CEO Whitney Wolfe Herd and her husband, Texas oil heir Michael Herd. The star-studded dinner came less than a week after Charles was coronated.
The King, his eldest son and Middleton have been on the outs from Harry and Markle since they resigned from their royal duties in 2020 and moved to Montecito, Calif., with their two kids: Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.
Since leaving their royal responsibilities, Harry and Markle have continuously bashed the monarchy while growing their Hollywood footprint with various streaming projects and book deals.
The “Suits” alum, dubbed the “Princess of Montecito,” launched her new business venture, American Riviera Orchard, in March.
Markle’s lifestyle brand – which has drawn comparisons to Paltrow’s wellness company – debuted with a jar of strawberry jam in April.
The former actress unveiled a new jam flavor and a line of dog biscuits just hours before Middleton attended the Trooping the Colour parade over the weekend. The outing marked her first public appearance since announcing her cancer diagnosis earlier this year.
