Wedding bells rang for Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen as the couple officially got married.

The couple were photographed tying the knot in California on Saturday, May 31, after being spotted one day earlier at a rehearsal ceremony, according to People. Steinfeld wore a white strapless gown, with opera gloves and a long white veil.

The Pitch Perfect 2 actress and the Buffalo Bills quarterback were first linked in May 2023 when they were spotted on multiple dates in New York City. The following month, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Steinfeld was “excited” about her future with Allen since he was “the first guy in a while [she’d] been really interested in.”

During an August 2023 appearance on the “Pardon My Take” podcast, Allen opened up about his romance with Steinfeld for the first time.

Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen kept their romance quiet to start in May 2023 before announcing their engagement less than two years later. Allen was linked to Steinfeld just weeks after eagle-eyed fans noticed in April 2023 that his longtime girlfriend Brittany Williams unfollowed him on social media. Williams proceeded to wipe her Instagram clean of […]

“The fact that anybody cares about that still blows my mind,” he said of headlines about his PDA with Steinfeld while on vacation.

While the pair have kept their relationship relatively private, Allen made it Instagram official in July 2024 when he shared a handful of photos featuring Steinfeld, including some from a trip to Paris and at a gathering with his family.

Hailee Steinfeld grew up in the limelight — but that doesn’t mean she’s always liked to share her love life so publicly. “I feel so lucky that [my fans] care enough about me to know what I’m doing every second of every day, but I think that sometimes it’s hard for people in general to […]

In December 2024, Allen revealed in Steinfeld’s “Beau Society” newsletter that he was “nervous” about her discovering his proposal plans.

“It was hard to keep secrets from you and have other people in your life keep secrets from you,” he said. “Then, multiple times throughout the day a song would come on and I would tear up thinking about how special our day was going to be.”

Allen then shared details of his proposal. “I said, ‘I couldn’t wait any longer.’ I said, ‘I can’t wait to start a family with you,’” he recalled. “I said your full name, and I asked you very nicely. I said please.”

Allen noted that Steinfeld was “extremely surprised” and said yes, which was “all that mattered” to him, adding, “It feels unbelievable to be engaged to someone who is so special and loving and caring and gorgeous and fun and happy.”

Allen also revealed that Steinfeld had grown somewhat impatient waiting for him to pop the question.

“We woke up and were getting ready for brunch and you jumped on the bed and said, ‘Can we get married already?!? What are you waiting for??!’” he recounted. “I replied, ‘Just give me a little more time.’ Little did you know I was about to propose to you.”

Allen and Steinfeld subsequently made their red carpet debut at the 2025 NFL Honors in February. When he won MVP during the ceremony, he praised his now-wife in his acceptance speech, calling her his “rock” and “best friend.”

This is the first marriage for both Steinfeld and Allen. Prior to their relationship, Steinfeld dated Niall Horan in 2018, while Allen was with Brittany Williams from 2015 to 2023.
