Holiday movie Queen Melissa Joan Hart sent 400 Xmas cards

Holiday movie queen Melissa Joan Hart is trimming more than just her tree this season — she’s also trimming her card list.

The festive flick favorite — who’s currently starring opposite Alicia Silverstone in Netflix’s “A Merry Little Ex-Mas” — told us at an Ancestry event at Maxwell Social that she normally sends out a blizzard of handwritten holiday cheer.

“I do 400 Christmas cards,” Hart told us at the event. “I hand address them because it makes me think of the person. It’s almost like a little prayer.”

But this year, Hart says she’s putting the brakes on her yuletide USPS marathon.

“I’m trying to simplify and kind of step back… The list has gotten long. Everyone I meet, I get their address.”

For those wondering who makes the nice list? “[If] I talk to you often, you’re getting an email,” she told us.

Still, some lucky folks will receive an old-fashioned card.

“Some of my friends’ parents, some of the older folks… they still appreciate a real card,” she said.

These days, she says she’s focusing on the true spirit of the season.

“I’m trying to really take the stress and the chaos out of it… and focus on what the holidays are about. I think it’s about families.”

Hart attended the holiday party with her father. The pair were spotted looking at images of their family and newspapers clippings pulled by one of the site’s expert genealogists.

Hart has starred in a number of holiday flicks including “Christmas Reservations,” “The Santa Con” and “A Very Nutty Christmas.”

She told us that there could be a sequel to fan favorite, 2007’s “Holiday in Handcuffs,” which she starred in with Mario Lopez.

“Mario was texting me. . . and I was like, ‘We need to work together again,’” she told us, saying he threw out a perfect title for a sequel. “I was like, ‘I actually kind of love that.’ And he’s like, ‘I was kidding at first, but I actually kind of love it too.’”

Lopez and Hart have worked together on several movies, including 2017’s “A Very Merry Toy Store” and 2020’s “Feliz NaviDAD” which Hart directed.
