How ‘Mormon Wives’ co-star Taylor Frankie Paul is coping after custody loss

Jessi Draper gave an update on Taylor Frankie Paul amid her “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” co-star’s ongoing scandal.

The hairdresser said on the latest “Call Her Daddy” episode that she had spoken to her fellow Hulu personality “right before” sitting down with host Alex Cooper Friday.

“She seemed pretty positive today,” the 33-year-old said during the podcast, which dropped Wednesday. “I think that she knows this is going to be a long and scary journey.”

Draper went on to praise her fellow reality star for always “tell[ing] the truth.”

She continued, “She’s known for that. And I think she’s going to handle this in the best way possible, and I think she’s taking a beat to figure it out.”

The businesswoman took a swipe at Paul’s ex Dakota Mortensen, quipping, “She’s not just running to TMZ and leaking stories. I think that’s the right way to go about it.”

When asked, Draper confirmed that she believes Mortensen, 33, was the one to reveal his on-again, off-again ex was being investigated for a February domestic violence incident — with allegations made “on both sides.”

Production of Season 5 of “SLOMW” was halted as a result.

“All of us right now are just trying to be like, ‘OK, we’re human beings first. Let’s figure that out and get back to filming the show,’” Draper said Wednesday. “Clearly, there’s no shortage of drama in our lives. So if we get another season, it’s going to be good.”

Draper also speculated that Mortensen “for sure” leaked the cell phone footage of his and Paul’s 2022 fight, which led to the MomTok star’s arrest.

Ultimately, the released video led to Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” getting canceled last week.

News broke Thursday that Paul has temporarily lost custody of her and Mortensen’s 2-year-old son, Ever, as part of her ex’s protective order.

On Wednesday, NBC reported that she is being investigated for a third domestic violence incident dating back to 2024.

Draper expressed her disappointment in Paul being booted from “The Bachelorette,” saying the three-time mom was “in a really confident, amazing era” after filming the show.

“I saw her twice, and I was like, ‘Your aura is different. Your energy is different,’” Draper recalled. “It was like the old Taylor again. I am so sad because I really wanted people to see that side of Taylor.”

She characterized the season as “very wholesome, dramatic and amazing.”

Draper also called out her estranged husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, over alleged “escorts,” “orgies” and “blackmail” during the interview — which Paul supported in a gushing Instagram comment Tuesday.

“We love a person that speaks truth even when difficult,” she wrote.
